Fans of anime underwear will be relieved to know HoYoverse has reinstated Zenless Zone Zero’s upskirts in under 24 hours. A new hotfix, available now, tones down the “fading effect” detailed in the original article below, meaning you can still get a good glance at your favourite character’s backside before the model disappears.
The official patch notes point out that “when viewed from specific angles, the agent will appear faded”. As demonstrated in the X (or Twitter) video below, this effectively means that the character models disappear when you attempt to pan the camera beneath their skirt.
While we’re being somewhat facetious in our approach to this story, there are legitimately people angry about this. “Imposing censorship is a spit in the face to all loyal players,” one user wrote. Another pointed out that they’d spent money on the gacha to unlock these characters, and thus will be complaining about the alteration.
