wait... do you not get witcher 3 promo code from ordering directly from nvidia?
Just played with my buddy's on his new Swift monitor.
First, I wasn't impressed much at all; but we soon realized the "red light" wasn't on - thus G-Sync wasn't working. Once we figured that out... Daaaaaamn.
Nope didn't get anything. Maybe if I contact CS...
lol smooth af
perfect monitor for me would be a 4k 120hz+ GSYNC panel

First run Heaven 4.0 benchmarks. 3840x2160, maxed everything
2x AA

4 GB x 2? Is the VRAM so big that the software doesn't recognize it?![]()
How loud is the titan?
Sounds like it's fairly low power so pretty quiet right?
Is 32GB system Ram really a requirement for these cards or is that bogus?
Sounds about the same as the 980 to me, but my Titan X is running hot, so there's that to consider.
Bogus. Andy from Nvidia already confirmed that someone screwed up there.
What does your fan profile look like? My max temp for card 1 was 73c, card 2 68c. I've done Heaven multiple times and all 3 of the FireStrike tests.
Stock clocks,
FireStrike Extreme - 13,223
Miscommunication between engineering and PR again?
I hope that I the extent of the fuckup this time...
Have it on auto in PrecisionX. It's easily maxing out to 90c in Heaven - the specified max. I think that's where the memory bandwidth is taking a crap. Not sure what's going on with it. I ran FireStrike a few times and had no issues.
Edit: Ok, I haven't used PrecisionX to mess with a fan curve in a long time. Just toggled it to auto - thought it was already enabled. Let's see what happens.
Honestly, Precision X has been janky imo after they re did the software in house. I used to prefer it over Afterburner, but now I don't use it anymore. Give Afterburner a try if Precision still gives you trouble.
Hey man, thanks so much for nailing my issue right off the bat. I probably would've spent another hour poking around to get it right.
After enabling the auto fan profile, it ran like a dream. I'll upload a screen cap of the result in a second.
This is the first card I've ever had this issue with, and I'm a chronic upgrader.
Temp for the card topped out around 69c, and it's certainly louder than the 980 under load, at least for me.
I remember long ago there was an unofficial guideline that I should have 2.5:1 Main Memory to VRAM ratio or something.Miscommunication between engineering and PR again?

Good that he helped you out before you melted the PCB!![]()
No doubt...I knew it would be a good day to start posting on GAF.
Did you get your shipping confirmation?
Gah, I'm not sure if I should upgrade my Titan Black to the X... Thoughts Neogaf?

What monitor(s) do you have?
I played first level of Crysis 3, Very High, MSAA 4x (lol) at 4k....between 36-45 fps. I got it on ShadowPlay. Trying to upload it.
Looked so good. MSAA 4x is completely unnecessary at 4k though.

How smooth does that feel with G-Sync? I know they say above 30fps feels good, typically... but I'd rather hear your impressions, since I'm sure you're used to 60+ most the time.
Can you post comparison shots between the different AA methods at 4K? Just curious
Might want to try MFAA as well, which I believe crysis 3 supports. Should provide a massive boost and still retain great IQ
Yeah I was just curious to see how the TX's performed maxed out at 4k with MSAA 4x. Still playable.
Have one on the way over here in Australia, should be here in just over a week!!
I really wish we could have got the actual Nvidia cards here, i would have loved one of those stickers. We never get any cool stuff =/
Unfortunately my 4K monitor isn't Gsync
