I know it might be too early to post this, but many news channels in Canada, including the government-owned CBC, have just announced that they are confident that the Liberal Justin Trudeau will be the next Prime Minister of Canada.

For those who aren't familiar with the Trudeau family, his father, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, signed the Canadian Charter of Rights, that guarantees certain political and civil rights to every Canadian citizen. It unified all Canadians together, and made every citizen have the same rights.

This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Harper and will soon see The Force Awakens trailer.

Is that the American type of liberal or the bad type of liberal?

Good luck with that one, America's Hat.

Is this a good thing?
Sorry Canada, I'm not too familiar with your politics.
All I know is people hate this Harper fella, and the mayor of Toronto sounds like a fun guy to be around.

I called it months ago, I was mocked but today I was proven right.

now please,

Looking forward to him being my Prime Minister, too, hopefully.

As long as its not Harper, I'm content.

I don't think he's a particularly strong candidate, but really it just boiled down to "Anyone but Harper" and he's the only one that stood a chance.

It's going to be a long road to undo some of the worst effects of the last decade--the gutting of the census, muzzling of scientists, major changes in criminal justice policy--and some of it we might not be able to restore--Canada's slipping international reputation--but I hope that we can begin that process of rebuilding the country, together.

That picture gives me a little Bobby Newport vibe.

Hopefully it means we'll be able to be Canada again still once more.

Going to be curious to see how the PC's try to fight every step of the way and who they will have in charge.

We'll take those problems and you can have the Tea Party, Citizens United, and our stupid two party system. Deal? ;-)
