I did all the things that were causing stutters last night, like quickly flying above hills and flying at terrain level. Perfectly smooth now. So goddamn happy.
What exactly did you do, and what's your specs?

Just disabled the shader cache. Everything maxed out at 1440p and keeping above 60fps on:
6700k 4.1 GHz
980ti EVGA supercharged
16GB DDR4
Installed to a SATA3 SSD
How did you that?
970/6700k/16GB/W10/GOG.
Performance hasn't been great for me so far. No crashes so far, but the frame drops are nasty and game the game doesn't look all the good. Feeling like a bit of an idiot for preordering this on GOG only a few hours before release, especially since I've got an unopened copy of the PS4 LE too.
- Smoothness Fix 2: In your Graphics Control Panel set Shader Cache to "Off"
Could you turn it off? Any difference in the game for you?
I'm interested because, as you can guess, I've got AMD as well. But I've not got the game yet. Most of the discussion so far has been on Nvidia cards.
67%Serious question - how likely is it that the stretched UI will be fixed in the near future?
Good Morning!
Added this to OP, seems to be helping a few people:

Yeah that's my biggest issue with the game currently. It looks crap no matter the framerate or AA solution. I may just turn AA off just because it helps a tad, that and sitting further away from my monitor than usual.

It's been a very long night, a lot of the team are still here though! We are currently testing fixes for older AMD Phenom CPUs + more![]()
Well the Gysnc fix didn't work, the shader cache fix didn't work...
i7 2700k, 390x, 144hz 1440p Freesync monitor. I think I would enjoy it a lot more if it actually ran well.
You are a gentleman and a scholar.I threw together some cheats which should make this more fun for some of you, especially screenshotters. Use the gameplay cheats with caution. Please add to the OP.

F1: Infinite Jetpack
F2: Kill All Helmet FX (including scanlines, frost and all vignettes)
F3: 999 All Resources In Inventory (locks to that figure)
F12: On Foot FOV
More to come...
Glad I'm not the only person who noticed it's rendering internally at a super low resolution, strange no one else is mentioning this!
I went through and played with a bunch of different settings, and I always seem to get 22 fps and then much lower when moving around and doing stuff.
I think my game is a bit fucked...
The game very clearly doesn't "render internally at a super low resolution", the 4k screenshots on page 2 of this thread are native 4k.

Join the club mate. I get 24fps though... Lucky me.

Again, is the FPS in options set to Max? The in-game capping fucks with things.
Also, don't turn off Shader Cache in global parameters of nvidia control panel, only turn it off for No Man Sky preset.

Don't use the 30fps cap.
Have you uncapped the framerate? Specs if you have?

I dont see a profile for NMS, do we need to create one?

Game is fine for the first 40 minutes, and then plummets to 4-5 fps.
Memory leak?
I'm encountering the same issue today. On my pc the game is fine for the first 40 minutes, and then plummets to 4-5 fps.
is it a known bug that the frame rate tanks after the first warp jump?
Can this game run in borderless window?
