Fuck this game. Since yesterday it has crashed at least 5 times on PS4.
Now my save file just got corrupted and I had to use a save file I created a few hours ago.

Fucking fuck fuck.

PC version is so borked right now, goes from 43, to 1, to 7 FPS without me even moving. Completely unplayable.

Buying it on PSN.

Kicker is, can't return the Steam version, because I fell asleep while trying to tweak it. So it says I have played 15 hours even though I haven't even walked more than 4 feet in game.

So I've now doubled dipped.

Fuck.
Try and return it anyway. If you explain the situation they might not be fussy. You lose nothing from trying.

I'm still torn about where to play it. I still have my PS4 save but the 60fps is so nice. Ugh

According to someone else's screenshot, 48 slots cost almost 70mil.. Most 23+ ones I've seen have been 1.2-1.5m, hoping to get a 25-30 slot one in the next couple of days.

70mil x.x

I'm at around 700k at the moment, so still a bit to go until I can get the 1.2-1.5m ones.

I saw an interview recently where Sean said they they wanted this to be a conscious decision. You either have those upgrades, or you have the space - managing your inventory is very much a part of this game (specifically the survival/trade pillars).

Yeah I imagine it was, doesn't mean that it benefits the game though.

It just makes the game even more tedious for people, as can be seen by many people venting their frustration of the inventory management.

It's like other survival aspects, I can see why they add ridiculous food/water/stamina timers, doesn't make it fun.

Can you expand the multitool inventory? Can you get a new one? I'm kind of lost with that.

Look for the outposts with a landing pad. There's usually a multi-tool you can buy on the wall. They can also be given as Monolith or conversation rewards.

What the hell. I get attacked by a hostile ship, I destroy it. And then I get attacked by three sentinel ships because I destroyed the space pirate. I mean what gives? That's total horse shit, I can't outrun being attacked, so my only option is self defense, and I get punished for survival...

So, the only way to get Antimatter is to buy one ?

Also, what is the max slots for the exo suit ? I found 4 upgrades on one planet, which seems exessive.

I got it for free so I might as well chill with it a bit.

Your time on this planet is limited. Why waste it on something you don't enjoy. And then waste even more time by complaining about it on a forum. I will never understand this.

Is there hard cap on up to what level tech you can find in starting solar system? Or does game just have veeeeery limited pool of upgrades?

That GTA influence.

NO FIGHTING OR MINING (except for everybody but you, they can do it)

Game: $60

Look on my 8 year old Nephews face when I explain the planet we just landed on has never been seen by any other human
and he gets to name it: Priceless
It's wonderful. My 9 year old daughter played a little bit the other day and fell in love. My 7 year old saw her playing and now he wants in on the action.

I played the Steam PC version for 6 straight hours last night and never had a single crash.

I'm actually really enjoying the game.

I have a ton of valuable Alien Artifacts I can sell for like 50Kunits a pop, but I can't find a trader yet and it' hogging all my inventory space.

My only real gameplay complaint is the limited Inventory Space. It's unbalanced in that I have found literally dozens of crafting blueprints on my home planet, but I don't have enough space in my inventory to make anything! You have to have an empty slot in either your Suit or Spaceship to create something, but your ores take up so much space and you need them to keep all your shit charged up . It's really annoying.

Not to mention ore only stacks to 250 per inventory slot. The FIRST thing they should patch is stacking ore - because it's a crafting game, they really need to make stacks unlimited. The constant degradation of your suit, life support, fuel, mining beam...it's to much. It's annoying and it's making exploration more of a chore than a joy.

We have 18 quintilion planets to explore - we don't need "speed bumps"this drastic.

What are your roadblocks? Did you get a dud starting planet?

I like the inventory management aspects. It makes you make decisions like, 'should I fill my cargo bay with this resource knowing that I can sell it for big profit or should I play it safe and keep a supply of ingredients that can refuel my shield from the inevitable pirate attacks'.

The inventory management has a risk/reward element in this game which totally makes sense and totally fits. It becomes much less of an issue fairly quickly anyway, what with suit and ship upgrades being fairly easy to find.

I seriously hope they don't remove inventory management here just because of a few attention deficit addled moaners who constantly want easy mode in everything.

Fyi. You can get up to 88 or 90 inventory slots between your ship and exosuit and your ship can carry 500 of something even though you can only hold 250 on your person.

Glad you're liking it. Im hooked.

So my first planet has tons of crates locked behind...
atlasspass v2...
is that typical? Being unable to open your crash landing site crates sucks, and the inventory juggle is absolutely obnoxious
Also why can't I stack stuff like shielding plates or the fascination beads?

Just because you like it doesn't mean people are "attention deficit addled moaners who want an easy mode in everything" lol

If that's your response to people, then frankly it says more about you, than anyone else.

Not to mention no one has asked it to be totally removed, so you aren't even correct in your assumption.

So you can't add more slots to your multi tool? I'm at the compare screen between two multi tools, one has 5 slots (mine) , one has eight slots (new one) , but the new one has additional slots faintly in the back ground. Why is that?

Same here.

I found a station with locked doors requiring the passes too.

All I can make are Bypass Chips though.

You find new ones with more slots. Most commonly in outposts but also in some more unexpected places :)

When you guys say outposts, you mean those Trading Posts where other ships come in on the planet or those small shelters that normally have just one landing pad?

I ignored the red ball at the beginning. I've been mostly blind on media so I thought I'd go in as blind as possible! Mistake?

Also, can you get something on the ship that allows you to see the same HUD markers as when you're on foot? Seems like I'm not seeing anywhere near as much when I'm airborne and I'm flying pretty low to the ground.

I want to at least get to the point that I can "complete" the planet in discoveries. Honestly if I see a question mark on the HUD I find it almost impossible to ignore.

I've had two on mine, both at save points. Hoping to find more as I continue to explore.

Assuming they're all the same as you start out, you'll need to upgrade your multi-tool with the (I think it's called) discovery upgrade. After that you can analyse them with L2.
I found two more upgrades on my starter's sister planet.

Oh... And all the red ball did for me was direct me to a monolith...

I came across this outpost today. The atmosphere in this game can be incredible.

Disappointed that reviewers aren't talking about this,
.Theres is an interesting side story thread if you keep finding these..I've found three logs so far that seemingly connect.

That and the mysterious history lessons/lore you get from the monoliths... All I see is people doing the "grind loop" I search this stuff out.

Hm, it looks like it only fits one upgrade ?

I have 21 slots so far and hear that some people have 50. Not sure on what the cap is, but having less limited space makes for a more relaxed experience. You can actually craft upgrades and use them and still have room to mine. (=

Not trading posts. The dome topped buildings. There.doesnt need to be a landing pad I don't think.

You unlock your first atlas pass by..

reaching the first atlas interface and then after that, the next star you warp to will have an anomaly (space station) show up and the dude inside it will give you the recipe to make it

spoiler a few pages back. Really didn't want to see that before finding out by myself. It's supposed to be a surprise, a mystery! You asshole. I don't understand how people can be so fucking inconsiderate. THIS IS NOT THE SPOILER THREAD. Other small things get spoiled here all the time too (thankfully nothing really big yet, for me at least). What's wrong with you people? Am I gonna have to completely stay out of all NMS threads?

Nope, I have a recipe, I make antimatter all day, my own suspension fluid, antimatter, electron vapor, warp cells. I never buy that stuff, just craft it. Break into the production facilities to acquire the recipes.

I read you get your atlas pass after a few jumps

Oh, I haven't even left my starting planet yet lol.

I keep finding points of interest to go to. It's so addictive I can't get the motivation to leave my home planet.

Plus, I keep finding loot boxes with blueprints - until I run out of stuff to find, I'm just flying around my 1 planet.

I have so many blueprints and no inventory space to make anything.

I guess I should finally depart my homeworld.

:(

You can stack 500 in your ship.

The stacks definitely shouldn't be unlimited as then you would be able to keep unlimited resources for recharging your Shields etc.

You are complaining about a lack of slots for you blueprints but that becomes less and less of a problem fairly quickly.

My ship was up from 16 slots to 22 withing a few hours of playing by selling artifacts and Gravitino Balls and buying a ship off a trader for 1.9 million.

My suit is currently at something like 26 slots. I got 6 of those in two or three hours last night without even making it a priority.

I just got my gun upgraded to 20 slots from 14 in the same few hours.

I'm focusing on improving my ship next time I play. I anticipate getting a 30 cargo space ship will take me two or three hours work.

Your concerns are mostly unfounded and removing the inventory management would unbalance the gameplay and make it far too easy

you can find drop pods to upgrade your suit and still stay on the same planet. I got to my second one and found a few of them already. I'm sure there were a few back in the original one.

Sell sell sell ALL your resources at above market value so you can upgrade your suite to hold more items. There will be plenty of resources so don't hoard them at this point.

So this place was pretty cool:

~115 toxicity about 75% of the day. Storms were constant, it does little but rain acid. Green, brown, bleak. Oh, also it is somehow fucking outright infested with a particular species of asscrab in a way I have never seen a species cover a planet's surface. I touched down on this planet maybe ~40 times while I was there and literally not once did I come out of the ship's cockpit and not already have 2 or more of those fuckers charging me.

At the peak of the tallest mountain of this rancid hell, I found satan:

Abandon all hope, ye who enter.

I already tagged it, I already apologized for it (hereby again), no need to insult me.
Like I said, I'm new here, but I would assume minor spoilers are a part of official threads to keep discussions going?

EDIT: I literally put spoiler tags around it, what else do I have to do?
