I guess Timdoggydog is the only one to be verified of the @OsirisBlack @CameFromNearFutureTommy Fisher @XcloudTimdog bunch?
Can't say I'm surprised, though.
Timdoggydog is a verified fanboy, that much is true

XB1X is superior compared to OG XB1 in every single benchmark. Is latency a problem?also low latency...which makes me wish xbox had another pool of ddr3 to combat that. cause gddr6 has very high latency.
ٰVerification process is going onHey Tommy . Did you by any chance pm the mod ? Can’t wait till I see your verified tag

Tommy, can you clear up the confusion regarding VRS tiers?BTW PSM [2], same date as the first one. mark your calendars.
New narrative building
MS told third party 10tflops to fool sony. told 1st party 12. DRAMA!
could this be the reason people are saying ps5 is more powerful?
I think Sonys building a powerhouse for PSVR2. MS doesn’t have those sorts of ambitions.
SSD. 1TB or 2TB?
Hold up. Did you just confirm 2 PS5 versions?- Both
Hold up. Did you just confirm 2 PS5 versions?
That sounded like 2 SKUs differing only in storage to me.Hold up. Did you just confirm 2 PS5 versions?

HBM is so expensive so I stay cautious but it destroys gddr6 . Less heat , faster , less power required .meaning more power left to up clock the gpu
Too slow for HBM.But will 512-bit HBM be expensive on a console?
First as in for the first PlayStation(PS1) announcement or the first time official "PlayStation meeting" (which was for PS3 back in 2005, i think) was done by Sony?BTW PSM [2], same date as the first one. mark your calendars.
No, both Prospero and Anaconda have the same VRS implementation afaik.Tommy, can you clear up the confusion regarding VRS tiers?
Is Sony going to have an inferior hardware implementation?
Not simultaneouslyHold up. Did you just confirm 2 PS5 versions?
The only thing i can say right now is over twice as fast as Anaconda's SSD. also a pretty good research by gofreak in ResetEra about the possible sony's tech.Tommy anything about the SSD's? Speed in particular?
Was it stupid to launch tow versions (500 - 1TB) of base PS4?it would be stupid if the only difference between them was HDD space. i guess sony also has a lockhart version.

What does that mean? DX12 is a Windows exclusive API.Good on Sony to move to DX12.

Let's give him benefit of the doubt until he's verified. Verification in progress.I like how everyone takes his word for gospel. It's a new user with absolutely nothing to his name.

Has he leaked anything?I demand justice forVFXVeteran .
Has he leaked anything?
Remember that Sony is famous for having more than one version of the same system. The PS3 Phat versions were 20GB, 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, and 160GB. Not counting that the 80GB and 160GB had more USB ports, and all of then were backward compatible with PS2 discs. Then, Sony decided to cut backward compatibility in their system revision.Hold up. Did you just confirm 2 PS5 versions?
Scarlett will absolutely have DX12 parity.
VRX tier 2 on DX12 is a Microsoft implementation. Saying PS5 will have same implementation of VRS is saying PS5 will have DX12 support.
Possible but improbable.

VRS is not in anyway somehow locked to DX12 and neither will the coming interations it will only be different how API’s implement it.
And what about HW RT? Aren't they supposed to be the same?He said VRS implementation.
There is no way Sony's and MS's implementation of VRS will be the same.
If you want cheap and fast, it's best to go with GDDR6.But cheaper

Divergence could hinder 3rd party porting.

You still haven't clarified if Tier 2 requires hardware support or if it's a matter of API/driver implementation (yeah, this could be patented just like DX12, but who cares):idk about RT, but MS' implementation of VRS is patented, as they made a point of it in their reveal.

Maybe Sony's implementation is even better, but it won't be the same for sure.
VRS tier 2 is a hardware feature, right?
PS5 could support DX12 if it had Windows instead of FreeBSD... it's not a matter of software IMHO.
Either you have the hardware or you don't. Then it's a matter of exposing it via DX12 or GNM API.

So only nVidia Turing and Microsoft XBOX RDNA2 have hardware support of Tier 2?yes.

VRS is not something completely new and Microsoft having a patent on one implementation of it for direct x (which Sony have never used regardless) will not keep them for using VRS or implement their own technologies into it.
This is like when people started saying direct X 12 would make Xbox significantly stronger and another league compared to PS when it released because it brought with it a lot of features that Sony would not have only for it to in the end mean nothing at all when it came to performance or features.
Just like Xbox uses their software and sdk Sony will have their own.
With this VRS crap. I have a deja vu with story about Xbone and DX12. Just like you said.
Sony has their own API, their own patents, their own stuff. Don't worry, Xbone fans, Sony won't give MS any money for VRS
