If both consoles have similar specs then I don't want to see the Xbox fanboys on here and Tim's follows complain about Sony fans being "toxic". They did this throughout this entire generation with DX12 and the Cloud and now they're giving people reasons to make fun of them if things change.

Nah. Actually, I’m pretty active on other game forums and have been for a long time. I avoided this place because it has a bad reputation, but ya’ll in this thread aren’t such a bad group. I enjoy the speculation and different perspectives. I just don’t like the thread getting derailed. TimDog’s always a bit of a loose cannon, but the whole point of moderators is to rise above it and publicly calling out members of a forum is an awful practice. One says xbox slightly ahead, most say ps5 ahead slightly.
That is not 12 v 9 is it. But if you are that sure you are correct, ms have designed a dog of a console and sony an absolute marvel of a machine.
Its not possible for ms to design a good console at 12 and sony 9 and have virtually the same performance. But this seems to be what's happening.
Logical conclusion is ms have fucked up.

Can be for multiple reasons, one of them being that Playstation has custom designs (e.g. SSD). Custom means more expensive... Everything we hear from XSX is that it's mostly off the shelf parts with a bit of optimization.
Why's no one talking about this part? Sounds like XSX selling for cheaper?

Price doesn’t really dictate which console will be better. Let’s not move the goal posts like that again. The xbox one was more expensive to buy and it’s parts actually more expensive, but had a large difference in power compared to the PS4. Yes, Kinect took up a large part of it, for sure. But also it’s components were mostly more expensive, despite being lower spec.
Now the thing is, this isn’t the norm.
In other words, the PS5 may be more expensive, but it may not be more powerful. But equally, it may be cheaper than the SX, but more powerful.
As always, we have news that tells us bigger all really!
