I wonder, why this post didn't get more traction......A 15TF PS5 would be great and my money was always on 32GB Vram…...

Funny enough, the rumor also says, the 15TF is not even the PRO version of PS5, it's the vanilla version....

  • Zen 2 semi-custom 7nm CPU with 8 cores/16 threads @3.86GHz.
  • RDNA 2 semi-custom 7nm GPU with 56 CUs @2.1GHz (up to 15.05 TFLOPS peak).
  • Double rate fp16, variable rate shading, integrated geometry culling via GPU.
  • Hardware-based ray-tracing processor (contained within APU die) for shadows, reflections, global illumination and particles.
  • 32 GB GDDR6 RAM: Around 1,024 GB/s bandwidth via 512-bit memory interface (GDDR6 video memory modules).
  • 1.5 TB semi-custom NVMe SSD. Expandable/upgradable via modules.

An Activision Dev did say there was a 14TF Devkit around and he also spoke about the haptic controller and had info on the overhaul with the Playstation Network......Whatever it is, I think when Sony reveals, there will be lots of exciting info unveiled...

9.2 confirmed.

I tried to upload a photo from my phone but its acting funny, (Its just the Walmart shelves completely barren of food) its getting crazy out here and I just want to say that no matter who you are or where you live be careful. Also try to be decent to other people, an actual fist fight broke out over canned soup. Seriously.

Here in Australia it's much the same. The disappointing part is that there is zero need for this behaviour. There's plenty to go around, yet people are hoarding. This in turn forces more reasonable people to do the same. Its a bees dick away from pandemonium.

11.6 upclocked to 12 makes sense. They're going to be twins. Fair fight.
I would rather have a solid AMD chip with less heat instead of an up clock to 2Ghz. I don't necessarily want a higher end frequency for bragging rights when a boost clock around 1800mhz to 1950mhz are good enough personally for me.

I tinker a lot with my PC GPU clock and memory frequencies, and to high of a clock frequency will yeild a few unintended problems that are annoying.

For one is the energy bill, but secondly, a high clock doesn't always end up with better performance at all. Stuttering and unstable system freezing suck, especially on pascual GPU'S. Allowing My GPU to hit normal boosts or with slight clock frequencies O'C will run games a helluva a lot better without the heat.

You have to think Sony is trying to find the right time to announce the PS5 without coming across like dicks. They are definitely in a tough spot right now. I imagine the first sign of good news about Coronavirus, they will probably drop the announcement.

I go away for <2weeks 160 pages later .. nothing .. oh not nothing

Phil new Profile Picture ?

(looks the the RAM is going to be cooled in a similar way to the Xbox One X, with the same heatspreader as the APU. and 10 chips = 320bit bus like everyone else said.)

Nice. Anything else happen?

A GDDR6 chip is 12*14mm (168mm2) in size and that die fits around 3 or so, so it's definitely not a small chip which means it's a 320-bit bus, further confirming AMD's Github leak to be 100% on point so far about the Xbox chip.

No its 16 GB not 20 . Scarlett e3 video showed mix of 1gb and 2 gb modules . Not just 2 gb
But isn't this one of the things you can easily change later in the game? Because how would you make that mix? 6x2GB and 4x1GB? And do you think they would use 4GB for the OS, and then 12GB for the game?

The OG scarlet image just had a serial number and the matrix barcode, plus "scarlet" - this new image has full details on the chip - comparable to the One X

*not to scale

Seems likely that these are final production or close, not prototype anymore

I also believe that Microsoft has rounded it to12TF, while the actual number of TF may be 11.8TF for example. In fact, it will never be exactly 12TF. 11.8 TF won't sell in marketing.
One X Is 6 tf
6.001
There's a reason that can't be 12.001 for series X?

Some countries are in lockdown. We’re not getting an announcement this month. Our best hope is next month if things settle down.
Although now that we are in lockdown, it might make more sense to do it, since everyone has time to watch it. You might reach a bigger audience than on other days.

Now we wait for Sony to throw us some bone

Eh... with all that coronavirus stuff happening right now, I really don’t expect any new official info for the time being

Will drop in from time to time, but I guess I’m taking a break from all this for a moment

It‘s not my twitter account. He and _rogame and redgamingtech have had conversations back and forth over this topic before, and HDRMADNESS is a popular tech-savvy poster on era, although with a different name. I’m not educated enough on this topic to say what the relevance of this is, if anything. We do know that Oberon B0 was listed in Github, but it is very strange to me that what we thought was Oberon C0, could actually be A0, if this finding Is factual.
As far as I know, Komachi found Anaconda and Gonzalo. He then conversed the information with Paul from Red Gaming tech, and they tried verifying what they had found. Komachi said he would not release his sources and Paul unleashed what he thought he could verify. All of it is speculation and there is your Github leak.

It has the same number of capacitors like this Phil's image from before ( XSX )

scarlett_soc.jpg

So 20 Gb Of GDDR6 to 640 GB/s or 560 GB/s

Even if screenshot quality is bad, but when you zoom it, you can clearly see a different shape of letters on chips. So, yeah, like E3 2019 Scarlett teaser showed - a mix of 1 and 2 GB modules

Quick thought on XSX 12 TF.

The One X was marketed as 6 TF. That was the first time I ever saw TFLOPS mentioned on stage, ever. To be clear, they never said 6.0. They just said “6 Teraflops” and the One X GPU turned out to be exactly 6.000 TF.

40 CUs @ 1172 MHz = 6.000640 TFLOPS

So Microsoft picked a totally random and arbitrary 1172 MHz in order to hit 6 TF exactly, Not 1170 MHz or 1175 MHz. Not 5.9 or 6.1 TF.
Just 6 TF & exactly 1172 MHz. This leads me to believe they will be equally arbitrary again and target exactly 2x the One X. Literally just because double the FLOPS sounds good. Big flop big fun.

So 12 TF. And they’ve marketed 12 TF already. So I doubt it’s any more or any less than 12 TF.

So given the new pic from big Philly, I assume XSX is as follows:

56 CUs @ 1.675 GHz = 12.006 TF
16 or 20 GB GDDR6 (either 10 x 2 GB = 20 GB or 6 x 2 GB + 4 x 1 GB = 16 GB )
320 bit bus & 14 Gbps = 560 GB/s max bandwidth
1 TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD @ ~ 4 GB/s max read

No. All the attention is on the virus outbreak and people are more focused on toilet paper and keeping safe than consoles right now. At least for the time being, until things get more under control

Imagine trying to create excitement for a new console during a tragic event like the world trade center in 2001. Not happening during a crisis

At this point I see nothing happening before April. If we’re getting official news, it would only be to confirm a delay. At least that’s what I think.

See y’all in a few weeks, depending on the turn of events

Even zoom.in on this pic it has different writings on the chips . Its 16 gb .we ll come back to this in couple of weeks .
Yeah, but I don't see 6 same writings and 4 others... They all seem to have different writings.
