If I were Sony I’d release Ps5 info exactly at 9:20am just for a nice little GitHub funHow long can Sony hold out?! I'm actually impressed at this point.

The timing isn't really that peculiar; there were already rumors about ND issues like a year or two ago, and those earlier ones involved Neil Druckmann directly. I don't think any of this latest stuff is something nefarious or as some inside dig at Sony, just moreso following up on a trend of focus regarding workplace conditions in the gaming industry. Never mind that Jason Schreir's the one who decided to dig in, and he's pretty fond of PlayStation (as am I). Not at exclusion of Xbox, but I don't think he has any angle against PlayStation in doing the Naughty Dog write-up.
Plus it was several people at the studio, who seemingly are relaying things from a wide range of a time period particularly on TLOU2 development, so I just think it is what it is and hopefully ND can weather the story, and fix up their internal issues.
But yes, exciting times ahead for both systems that should be pretty on-par with each other in performance and features, and hopefully gaming content as well. Can't wait for them to launch!
@Insane Metal I think 16 + 4 is more likely but the question is will it have more bandwidth and what the bus width is. Even on 256-bit bus they can get more bandwidth if they go with a flush of 18Gbps or even 20Gbps (tho who is making those at this time?) chips. And maybe the DDR4 could be sufficient enough to have the OS handle that so you have 16GB GDDR6 fully available for games![]()
I just want to know whether PS5 will be powerful enough to play Disgaea 6.
That is all.
IDK why people are impressed for the CPU being 3.8 or 3.6 Ghz. Ryzen 2 CPUs are all in the 3.4-4.0 Ghz.
Yeap I’m so blind that I can’t even see the GitHub false claims.you are a blind fanboy I know logic is something foreign for you.
Microsoft uses full chips for dev kits. the github leak had 56CUs active, and the final hardware does have 56CUs
can you, with logic not with dumb fanboyism, tell me how this disproves github? especially since this chip is real and it has to be used by MS in some fashion. it had regression tests fitting Xbox One hardware.
why do you want these leaks to be fake so hard? tell me... you junp onto every vague insider info with no question asked, but hard and real data is something you dismiss on a whim
these are irrational and frankly borderline dellusional reactions
Oh great Prometheus. What fire of knowledge do you bring to us today?Oh what a day, go to sleep and wake up to![]()
Lol. Now MS is "in a rush" to deliver next gen news. When all they're doing is just normally delivering news.
Ha ha. Sony fans changing this up to making MS seem like they're rushing.Sony is doing the world a favor because of the planet suffering. LMAO. Give me a break.
yeah it matches the benji tweet but did benji confirmed it again today?
Are you paid by Microsoft? Shit it’s like you try to post everything positive when it comes to Xbox and PlayStation in a negative outlook. Get help
Totally agree. You can't attribute motive accurately to ANYONE. Seems to me the article was more slanted towards the rights of workers, etc. So if there's a "bias" it's more likely that. Additionally, the point the article starts with...that's assuming there's never normal construction during the day which isn't normally accurate. I was at a Motorola location that had a FAB and they had some roof work going on. An accident ended up busting thru the ceiling in a clean room and injured 2 workers from falling pipes. Took MONTHS and Million$ to clean that up. Fortunately, the injured employees were ok (One had a broken arm as I recall).
I'm really of two minds with this angle about "bad working conditions" for developers. First, the comments on the articles crack me up when the commenters say that "no other industry" works 7 days a week 12 hour days. LOL. Try construction or some industrial jobs, or even car sales in the summer or holiday months! You know...REAL jobs and work (just kidding, but you know what I mean). The fact that none of those commenters even know this shows just how inexperienced they are.
So to me, I see two sides. First, as a leader of a department, I'd agree that this kind of "crunch" isn't the best way to motivate and retain your team. I'd think that needs to be improved. That being said, people KNOW they're signing up for this, so complaining about it after the fact, while human, is really the result of their choices.
Now, long term, if this kind of burnout and "crunch" has such a negative impact on their teams they will end up losing top talent as it ages and doesn't want to work those hours or just for 'mental health.' If they can't REPLACE that top tier talent effectively, then it will impact their product quality and business model. So far, it seems to have worked for a lot of the industry. Unfortunately, it may take a 'crash and burn' failure to teach these companies that it's not the way to work. We'll have to see. I know myself, I would have a HELL of a time trying to lead and motivate a team in that type of environment. At least long term. Interesting stuff!
Calm down.
You should blame yourself for believe in something that is not true instead to try to put the blame on me.I'm sorry but that dude literally gets me heated some times... I have him on ignored for now to calm down.
I know
all my info is second hand and there is chances of something being wrong. Because I can not Verify everything myself in person.
PerhapsTommy Fisher was given bad info with the controller pic and wasn’t intentionally trying to lie to fool you @Mod of War ot the forum. It could have been an honest mistake.
I wouldnt it Call impossible too, maybe they got the costs down with high Volume long term contract's but as i say imho unlikelyI think it is not impossible to have HBM + DDR4 (8+16 or 16+8) at the same cost as GDDR6.
PS5 will probably have more RAM than XSX IMO.
18+4.
OK, so no one can actually work out the size of an APU is confirmed then. Only a couple of hours ago rogain and stan's dad were saying 380.Apu die size : 360.45 mm² (15.3 billion transistors)

This Marlon YT streaming making me laugh right now about the AA battery stuff. TBF, I...kinda agree xD? I guess the batteries would be easier to replace but still.
That said I think the dude is blowing it out of proportion.
So a Radeon 5700xt 40cu's 256bit bus is around 250 mm2 with a Transistor count of 10.5 blnOK, so no one can actually work out the size of an APU is confirmed then. Only a couple of hours ago rogain and stan's dad were saying 380.
He was probably trolling over the Sony number.

I being saying this for time to time. People need to stop bringuing twitter bullshit to the thread.Who cares about this FUD dealer, why even bring his shit here?
quick question, since they info came from you and this is in no way an attack towards you, i am just curious why microsoft would go the way they did and what your opinion is:Not worth it.
Who cares about this FUD dealer, why even bring his shit here?
It's the fact we're coming from 1.6-2.1GHz Jaguar CPUs, I think a lot of people were expecting 3.2GHz; not just as a familiar number but because consoles usually get mobile equivalent speeds, it's on an APU next to a very powerful GPU, the knee (sweet spot) of the performance/power curve was at 3.2GHz for prior Zen cores before it grew exponentially; and even current stock Zens tend to top out just above 4GHz.
I was expecting 3.0-3.2GHz a year back and moved more to 3.3-3.5GHz in recent months. Heck, a year back there were plenty of doom-and-gloomers on various forums expecting ~2.8GHz.
3.6-3.8GHz is impressive given all the circumstances. Those last few 100MHz take a lot of work relative to the first few 1000MHz.
It was never mentioned before. Just the console warriors that think because it's a 8 core, 16 thread cpu, it must be the 3700! Not realizing it'll more than likely be a laptop style chip, maybe 25 to 35 watts of power. No where near the power of a cpu that almost costs as much as the console. Not to mention thinking they are getting the equivalent to a $600 or more gpu. These guys are in for a rude awakening!
Totally, this was the biggest surprise since I don't think anyone saw it coming.
Yeap I’m so blind that I can’t even see the GitHub false claims.
Tou keep spining and changing GitHub every time a new official spec proves it was not like it shows lol
Seeing as I was asked earlier Ill respond to it here. Their is absolutely no way in the worldTommy Fisher (TF not an accident) sent that picture of that controller and thought it would pass scrutiny. I do not know who he knows or what to make of his predictions but he was spot on with the XseX numbers. I doubt that is a lucky guess.
Forget it, man. GitHub talk is dead, move on from it.you are a blind fanboy I know logic is something foreign for you.

That's impressive when for the past 7 years we've have 1.6 GHz as baseline for consoles.IDK why people are impressed for the CPU being 3.8 or 3.6 Ghz. Ryzen 2 CPUs are all in the 3.4-4.0 Ghz.
He was probably trolling over the Sony number.
Someone saying....Oh come on, he was one lucky son of a bitch. That's all.
Pot, meet kettleA bit ironic coming from you.
Someone saying....
12.1TF
RDNA 2
52 CU
GPU running at 1.82 ghz
... is more than luck.
But he didn't write 1.825 ghz!![]()
He didn't?
OsirisBlack do you know if ps5 has wifi 6?
Well well well, looks like one of good friends on Twitter posted this...
Tommy Fisher is the one that we don’t just want, but someone that we desperately need!
I get why Sony hasn't revealed anything yet but I wish they'd give us something. I want to put this speculation to rest. I'm thinking we're not getting much of anything until late after June their final big release.
