since when 4 = ”a ton”? Some of you are making Sony Studios sound like some sort of miracle workers, while reality is that some of these games are better looking, but not much different from predecessors. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy uncharted, I do appreciate how much work some devs put into making their games, i enjoy playing some of these as much as the next person, but I am not getting overexcited about yet another 3rd person adventure game. Maybe I am too old and seen too many games. I am not blinded fanboy either, I play on everything (pc, Xbox, ps, nintendo etc. portable and standard consoles).

I see two numbers are possible for PS5 now, the raw 13.3TF Tommy said and if Sony's cooling solution is as good as is rumored, then they would have been able to push the PS5 to 15.05TF from 13.3TF (Tommy Still Wins)...I think I've always been an advocate for 32GB of Vram, we all know by now that Sony's memory and Storage will be faster as well as their RT solution...…...If they go 13.3TF, Id's say they will have 24GB of Vram, if they go 15.05TF, I'll say they will have 32GB....

Many people have thought ps5 would be more powerful, choosing to believe klee, osirisblack and tommy fisher.

I actually think some sony fans have pushed the 9.2tf github narrative, when they actually believed klee all along, so in there mind if the ps5 was more powerful they can claim it as some massive victory.

These people are mentally ill and need to be helped.

Im not saying everyone said this .. but a lot of people did. Either you just joined or your lying and you know I’m right there was literally pages of “there is no way xbox is 12 tf RDNA”. Then people were posting just yesterday it’s not actually 12 tf after MS confirmed it.

I predicted 11.5 tf From the start btw... and I have made more predictions .. including that PS5 will clock higher using burst clock and then be thermally throttled.

No man just no .go to reset era and xbox discord thats all they believe and talk about .ps5 9.2 tf rdna 1 and then changed to 9.2 tf rdna2 lol

Dealer and timdog doubled down on it yesterday .come on man just accept that if sony pulls through with 13 tf it needs to be commended after all the 9 tf shit xbox fans gave them from Dukeblueballs (aka proelite ) to cyber panda to r600 to darkinstinc etc...

How many TFs the RT cores makes the RTX 2080 be?

Yes there are. TU106 (RTX 2060, 2060S, 2070), TU104 (RTX 2070S, 2080, 2080S) and TU102 (RTX 2080 TI and Titan RTX) all have tensor cores. Tensor cores are used for machine learning in datacentre. Tensor cores are also used for DLSS and for denoising for RTX in gaming.

No I think these folk are fine.....Yet, I've seen one poster repeat that "Tommy gave correct MS figures" and "He actually gave wrong PS5 figures to fool Sony fans".....I've seen that same post by the same poster in this thread over the last ten pages over 5 times......Then I've seen some other posters spiral in to make the same claim....Frankly I think the mods should be checking for more of these "alts"...….Now alts, there is something definitely wrong with that....

Funny enough, the same people who said Tommy gave correct XBOX info now, are the the same ones who called for his ban before...Tommy is now fooling PS fans you see.....

Yeah I wondered about that.
But unless people are engineers or developers we can not deduce RT performance from these figures.

However less then 2060 RT performance would be disappointing.

Only reason people have fun saying PS5 is 9.2tf is because that's the only concrete info we have which is a bunch of Oberon test leaks.

Other than that, it's a slew of insiders anywhere from 10-13 (now 14?) tf.

All Sony has to do is just put out a vague bullet point like MS did last year by saying PS5 will be "triple the power of PS4 Pro" or something like that to give gamers an idea.

When MS said double the power of X, everyone then knew it'll be around 12tf. Turns out it's 12.1tf So it's right there.

But if Sony wants to say nothing. And no insiders want to give detailed specs aside from "I heard from a guy" and "I'm not sure if he has the latest dev kit" rumours, then what you're going to get is Oberon talk.

Now if Sony comes out and says "it's triple PS4 Pro power" that's the end of it. No more 9.2tf or Oberon A08265728-193 V4 code crap nobody can decipher. Everyone will know it's around 13tf and then you can ride that spec until detailed specs like MS did today.

Not hard to do.

With RT on the performance will be lower than lower TF GPU just like nVidia RTX.

Yes, and that "25 TFLOP" figure Microsoft are stating is not measured using this methodology. Therefore the comparison you mad is totally meaningless.
Incidentally, as meaningless as the metric used here by Nvidia.

People saying fisher gave correct xsx numbers but false ps5 figures are in denial.

Dont get me wrong im sure theres plenty of xbox fanboys that are in denial too, the ps5 has a very high chance of being more powerful.

But in the end it doesn't matter, this will be the closest the hd twins have been in power, ever...

We should be very greatfull that they are both beasts.

And now that both sony and playstation have a large number of great first parties any gamer would be in denial to say they dont want both platforms (weather that be PC or xbox, in Microsofts case)

Please look at the posted link on Anandtech. It's in the very post you replied to. Also rtx cores and tensor. Marketing was strong for both. On the rtx 20 series. It's how Nvidia does "DLSS" Also spun it for machine learning. Also:

The TFs in nVidia cards are calculated with what the card can do in normal clock.
It has absolutely no relation with RT.

You said "they're lying" after MS confirmed it, which is false. Right before the 12TF number came out people wanted conformation if they were 9TF RDNA or 12TF RDNA since Phil didn't give a specific number. Digital Foundry even made this statement in their video about how 9TF of RDNA would equal 4 times (?) the amount the amount of the Xbox One X , but were pretty sure it was 12TF RDNA.

After it was confirmed, people went back to look at the insiders who put PS5 specs ahead of the XsX. These people includes the likes of Klee, Benji and Tommy.

So all then numbers on the nvidia specs page account for RT teraflops? This is news to me. They seem to show a separate measurement for RTX performance (Giga Rays).
