Umm...what? He never claimed to know the number...only that both were above Stadia's tflop number and the GPUs are more powerful than RTX 2080. Which is true for the Series X.

As I mentioned just yesterday, MS's strategy may hugely backfire on them. Now that the specs are out (for those who care about them) Sony announces more information. I'm a firm believer that they were just waiting for this moment and used the GDC excuse to play it down.
With that said, I'm not expecting a 13.8TF machine, nor do I care. I think both systems are fairly similar, with the XB edging raw power and the PS5 edging in speed and optimization.

Look at the social media engagement between the two. A full 24 hours (and then some) for the full reveal of Xbox Series X VS a mere 3 hours for an announcement date of a console.

XB1 owners are busy playing their MP-focused exclusives, while PS4 owners have nothing to do but to wait for their next SP-only exclusive. Simple.
They will show games they need to be advertised.

I think they show PS4 games running on it, similar to what Microsoft shown.
O dont think sony will show as much as Microsoft did yesterday, i dont think we will see the box but i hope im wrong.
I think it will have similarities to cernys ps4 2013 presentation, but not as broad. Cerny will talk about the GPU and its RDNA2 Raytracing features, I think the focus will be on there ssd, it will be pretty similar to what Microsoft has said, as the 2 machines are very similar. There is no secret sauce apart from sonys slightly better ssd tech. I think xsx will be ahead on BC though.

If Mark Cerny reveals tomorrow that PS5 SSD speed is 5-10 GB/sec and works in a similar fashion like XsX, does that mean that PS5 has more assets they can load, and at a faster rate, therefore better graphics? All signs are pointing to PS5 SSD being faster and better in some form or capacity

You know that 25TF is simply Fp16 which was available on PRO but not X?
PS5 will support FP16 and will be higher than XsX provided PS5 has higher TF.

how expensive is HBM2? I read a couple months ago that it was around 120$ for 16GB. But also read that it needs some additional hardware to work that costs around 30$. So slightly cheaper than GDDR6 which is around 10$/GB. There was also discussion about whether it was possible to avoid...

It's not FP16, people are adding regular shader performance(12TF) and RT dedicated hardware performance (13TF) to reach that. It's like having 12 apples, adding 13 oranges and saying you have a total of 25 apples.

I mean, i expect to see the improvements of ps4 games running on the ps5 but if that's the only thing, that will be a bit disappointing. For the PS4 announcement, i remember that they talked about stuff like Killzone SF, Dreams, Knack, Driveclub, etc.
And didn't the Godfall devs said that we would be seeing more recent gameplay "soon"?

Surely they have to be close on power for Sony to do a reveal so quickly after the full specs of Series X are revealed. With all the Covid-19 panic they could have easily sat back and possibly done a delay and small re-design to boost power by delaying for 6 months etc. I’m no expert in this obviously and don’t know how feasible that is. They would have obviously lost the first to market boost as I assume they will both still launch near Holiday 2020. It’s still very uncertain though and I’m still not sure if we will see that. I am confident the PS5 will be at least 10.5 - 11 Teraflops. Can’t wait till tomorrow!

Yeah, this data shows just like Klee stated, PS5 is more powerful than XSX. But maybe Klee was referring to specific elements?? Maybe CU's are higher, CPU cache numbers are different???

It depends on sort of presentation it is, i think sony do need to show something next gen, when ms have shown a hellblade 2 in engine footage, but it has been labelled "a deep dive into the PS5s system architecture"
Its a video presentation, so i expect PowerPoints and slides and cerny just being cerny and talking about each hardware component and what it will mean for games, i think it will be technical presentation and not a venue to try and sell ps5 to the masses.
