Don't ruin my fantasy, I beg of you.Disappointing but I suppose everyone thinks we talk like leprechauns in Ireland.
My accent is like Roy in IT crowd.... they might have more of a leprechaun tone in Kerry though..Don't ruin my fantasy, I beg of you.
Was that not the Mafia 1 remake? This doesnt look the same as those pics a few days ago that looked amazing??
Was that not the Mafia 1 remake?
Well this is a bit dissapointing. For some reason i was under the assumption that this was getting a more 'dramatic' remaster. This looks just the same as the PC version maxed out, worse even.
I think 2K are making a bit of a fools of themselves. Last week they made an announcement of an announcement which got leaked right away. Out this trilogy remake is the only one valuable(I hope), Mafia II remaster is a bad joke, Mafia III is just a deluxe version named definitive, genius move here(not really). Could've just dropped banger trailer for a remake and give Mafia II for a pre-order and upgrade III to a definitive if one is owned. That would be less confusing since I see a lot of people think that those remake's screenshots are from Mafia's II "remaster".
I didn't do straight comparisons but i get my x360 days vibes.Mafia 2 certainly looks better on my One X on a 4k tv than it does on youtube. People are straight up lying when they say it looks exactly the same as on PS3/360.

C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\Documents\My Games\Mafia II Definitive Edition\Data\profiles\76561197987426123Is there no PhysX implementation on the PC version? Cause thats horsecrap if not. Immediately makes it worse than the "Classic" version.
I definitely think they really could have simplified the message a little. I understand some of the confusion.

And in the aphex line in the xml file set it to 3
Well you are wrong because a google search has remake plastered all over both those titles, wikipedia also calls them remakes. It's literally everywhere. If you found one trailer saying remastered then it was also an error from someone else who is confused. But it looks like there is no confusion about calling both Crash and MediEvil remakes. I don't believe the companies are confused at all.It might be confusing because sometimes companies call remakes remasters. Crash N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled are called remasters even though they are basically remakes with new graphics. Also the new MediEvil was called remaster in the trailers if I remember right.
Was there a day one patch?
Quit while you are ahead, there are set definitions, companies do not use what they want and those definitions don't refer to the same thing in any context. Those definitions are set to what they do to the game. You yourself can look at a game and know if it was a remake or remaster by those exact definitions. There are no set definitions. Companies use whatever sounds best to them. Some call a remaster a remake, and the other way around.
It also doesnt fucking matter.
Also, we should just go back to calling them ports and remasters. What is this remake bullshit anyway.
Its not a remake. Its just a port with some added lightning effects.
Also those two "definitions" you posted there could also refer to the same thing. To make something again, doesnt proclude upgrading lightning or sound and graphics.
Many store descriptions says that those Crash games were remastered instead of remade. PS Store says that for example. They don't use the word remake. Also Wikipedia shouldn't really be used as a source but they are called remasters there too:Well you are wrong because a google search has remake plastered all over both those titles, wikipedia also calls them remakes. It is a compilation of remasters of the first three games in the Crash Bandicoot series

We have seen the Mafia 1 screenshots.. It's a remake. We've seen screenshots and some gameplay now of Mafia 2, it's a remaster! Look with your own eyes, not sure what is confusing about it. Also Mafia did not use whatever suited them, they said exactly what they are.
The story in 3 is actually really good. Basically an 80's macho action movie, a one man army getting revenge. The problem is the gameplay sucks.
Are you serious bro? You realize this just doesn't apply to video games. Remake and Remaster are very different as per the definitions I previously gave you, I didn't make up those definitions, they are the proper definitions, look them up. Those definitions also answer your questions. I just realized it's the English language you are confused with not remakes and remasters of video games.Show me those set definitions lmao
why cant an upgraded version of a game be a remake?
Why cant a full reimagining be called a remaster?

You are either trolling or really stupid.
Ok, let me admit, I have not played Crash N. Sane Trilogy... From what I'm reading these are the same 3 games graphically enhanced. If that is correct then these are remasters which means my argument is still right. My original point was that there is no confusion between remaster and remake. I only said it was a remake because this is what you said:Many store descriptions says that those Crash games were remastered instead of remade. PS Store says that for example. they just added all the dlc, added a few settings and renamed it. it's still the same thing so yes.Do saves from the original Mafia III carry over to the definitive version, on PC at least?
True! Definitive version of a turd is still a turd.they just added all the dlc, added a few settings and renamed it. it's still the same thing so yes.
there's nothing "definitive" about this..
Lets look at the definitions to see why.Why cant a full reimagining be called a remaster?
