I have my copy of DQXIS sitting here.
I wanna play it but I know I’ll sideline it for CP2077 when it releases.
I mean it’d be fine if it was a short game but I expect at least 100 hours for me to finish all content.
The wait is killing me.

my hype is through the roof right now. here is my plan for next week (i'm off work):
Monday: preload the game on GOG. start reading the rest of The World of Cyberpunk 2077 + rewatch Dredd (2012). gonna try going to sleep at ~2/3PM and wake up at ~10/11PM so i can change my sleeping hours in preperation for the midnight launch.
Tuesday: rewatch Blade Runner and finish off The World of Cyberpunk 2077 if I haven't already. go to sleep at ~2/3PM and wake up at ~10/11PM.
Wednesday: go to shops and stock up on food, energy drinks, and alcohol. get shit done around the house and then rewatch Blade Runner 2049 and then go to sleep at ~2/3PM and wake up at ~10/11PM. Once I wake up I'll be straight onto my PC counting down the remaing time.
Thursday to Sunday: play. sleep. play. sleep. the only time i'm leaving my PC is if i need to restock food/drink or go take a shit/piss. I'll need to try readjust my sleeping hours for going back to work on Monday.

I’ve got a whole week free too, starting the 10th. Beginning of next week I’ll be stocking on soda, snacks, weed and booze. Hype is real. Will probably play a LOT in this week.

When it comes to Cyberpunk I like to check in on them and see how their boycott is going because it's hilarious. They're having two release day blackouts for this game because after the recent delay they didn't want to back down on their initial commitment to the trans community.

I want to this too, but man, i think its going to be really hard, it will be all over internet, people talking,advertise.And if you are like me that discoverying the things like gameplay mechanics, places and story is a big part of the fun. Little things like "this is how you get a flame sword in cyberpunk" ""top ten flying cars", "NPC that have 3 diferent reaction to something" is really bad for me.
In small games, i can avoid it. But man, this time is going to be impossible. The only way is power off the internet, and dont talk with my family, that will talk about that like all day.
I have the ps5, i really want to play it in lunch, but part of me still want to play a better version that will come.And being honest, if i finish the game before the patch, the chances for me to play it again is small. Only if its like a skyrim tier game.

I like where your head’s at — solid game plan with the requisite rewatching queued up. However, might I add a recommendation or two. Are you planning on adding ghost on the shell (either 4K live version or 4K original) or Akira to you pregame watchlist? This might further prepare you mentally for the release of 2077. You can never be too prepared.

There are 3 different starts to the game. How about get the game now and enjoy it like everyone else with one playthrough, then do a different path down the road after the Next Gen Patch? Some leaked footage is already out there of the game running in performance mode on the PS5 and tbh, it looked pretty good.

I would say if there's a 60fps option for ps5 confirmed go with it if you can't wait. For me, just seeing the gameplay and imaging that world at 30fps is depressing with all the driving and combat.

I think the biggest reason I'm so hyped for cyberpunk is that I have yet to find a game I spend so much time in the world talking to everyone, finding every sidequest, completing it, doing all the side content after the witcher 3. I just loved being in that world and doing it all. Hopefully I can spend over 100 hours into this game completing it because I really want to

most copies are sold from pre orders, at launch, or shortly after.
delaying reviews can lead to higher sales. once they've got money in from pre orders, from people who don't pre order, and people who wait for reviews....then more reviews come out.

It will be interesting to see how many reviews are published on Monday. From the sounds of it hardly any review outlets have codes.
