In that case, are they really an insider? Everyone on these forums and Reddit were basing future performance off of on-paper specs. An insider is supposed to look beyond that and give us accurate information that may not always be apparent.

looking at how different Cyberpunk runs on XSX compared to PS5 then yeah, there is indeed a massive difference. Its basically a different Version that is running on XSX compared to PS5.

Exactly. It is running in BC mode with some additional features because it's next-gen aware. But it is still literally running in BC mode because there is no next-gen version yet.

And how did you miss it's not a like-for-like comparison? DF is explicitly saying that the PS5 and XSX cannot be compared like these because one version (XSX) has additional settings unlocked while the PS5 version doesn't.

I know you don't need an answer, but... Fanboyism is the only answer here. He thinks a BC game being better makes the console better. The only valid comparisons are the native games, which lots of them are actually showing a little superior performance on PS5.

And that is precisely the opposite of what lots of fanboys said here on Neogaf. They touted that the 2 tflops difference was so staggering, it would destroy PS5 and stuff. Even someone who used to work for MS said on twitter how amazed he was to see that big difference on a smaller console.

And now the results are in and they are trying so hard to spin this. It is sad when someone can't admit he is wrong.

Forgive me if I'm misremembering, but haven't we had months of devs talking about how easy the PS5 is to develop for, with better tools and ease of accessing the systems power than the XSX?

Given that pretty much everything we saw at the PS5 Showcase was running on actual PS5 hardware, while possibly everything at the XSS/X one was on PC, if not flat out just CGI for a game barely in production, it seems a bit of a leap to suddenly believe MS's machine is just leagues better than Sony's with most Devs finding the former a breeze and latter a nightmare to create on suddenly.

It may well be true of course, but I find it suspicious given that this all comes from one random guy on twitter, pretty much the day after Xbox had to delay Halo Infinite due to very obvious development problems, as well as speculation Fable was basically vaporware.

It's all a little bit too convenient.

yep. I remember pointing this out to him way a few months ago. a 1080 is equivalent to a 5700. Not the 5700xt, the 5700 which is a 7.9 tflops gpu.

No. the x1x version does not have bigger crowds, more vehicle density and better graphical effects. those were added just for the xss and xsx versions. the x1x is basically running the same exact version as the base ps4 and ps4 pro.

Bullshit. DF compared PC vs PS5 using the last AC (done by a PC fanboy, Alex) in a very thorough test and found the PS5 was performing like a 2080 Super. And in his tests the 2080 Super was paired with a 5Ghz high end Intel CPU.

Bullshit. DF compared PC vs PS5 using the last AC (done by a PC fanboy, Alex) in a very thorough test and found the PS5 was performing like a 2080 Super. And in his tests the 2080 Super was paired with a 5Ghz high end Intel CPU.

AC: Valhalla is a bad game to compare PS5 to the nvidia graphics cards, It's more optimized for AMD GPUs than Nvidia ones (which is not the case for most games).

I don't think this is true reason. Probably patching last version to nextgen on xbox if more flexible and can't be done same way on playstation (similar situation with rocket league and 120fps patch, devs said it's not possible on ps5 without realeasing new game)
