Actually it performs slightly better on series x.Identical as it should be!
Yeah, they better off with locking the fps to 30 on series s or lower the resolution to 1080pGood performance on both PS5 and Series X
Completely horrible performance on Series S in RT mode, what the hell
Res should be dropped to 1080cb.Completely horrible performance on Series S in RT mode, what the hell

Yes, but PS5 can't handle 60 fps even in 1080p not that long ago, in comparison to flawless 4k60 xbox version, so it's a pretty good jump.Actually it performs slightly better on series x.

Well considered the difference in the CUs is still quite surprising see the ps5 so close.Actually it performs slightly better on series x.
The biggest advantage XSX is VRR.
no if you take real compute and bandwidth advantage into account and stop this cu number bsWell considered the difference in the CUs is still quite surprising see the ps5 so close.

I’ve heard it’s really, really good!Res should be dropped to 1080cb.
Well but more CUs still should give important benefit in terms of performance for raytracing, that's undoubted.no if you take real compute and bandwidth advantage into account and stop this cu number bs![]()
higher clocks also so still 20% compute advantage, talking about cu number without clock is bsWell but more CUs still should give important benefit in terms of performance for raytracing, that's undoubted.

Again we are talking of CUs advantage. There isn't an universal benefit for the whole GPU but in dedicated tasks more CUs still should outperform less CUs even though fasterhigher clocks also so still 20% compute advantage, talking about cu number without clock is bs

1.8 TF means nothing. But more CUs still outperform less CUs that's undeniable. Now of course faster more balanced CUs job should decrease such advantage but it's impressive we are talking of just 2 FPS of difference. But 1.8 TF difference. As it should be, right? I mean, in RT mode where XSX should have the big advantage
Just watched the video, clear Xbox advantage through the whole play through. Ps5 drops when npcs are on screen, seems to waver drops into the high 50s a considerable amount while the Xbox stays locked. this is where VRR comes into a world of its own for these consoles. Sony really needs to get this sorted.

cu * clock matter but some try to talking about cu number only to show that gap is bigger which is notAgain we are talking of CUs advantage. There isn't an universal benefit for the whole GPU but in dedicated tasks more CUs still should outperform less CUs even though faster
But will fight over a single drop in a single scene like in HitmanSony fanboys downplay the 1-5 fps xsx advantage?
Not trolling here but the Series S is the only one struggling to hit 60FPs. It wouldn't be a bad idea if the developers reduced the resolution or locked it at 30FPs. I really don't like seeing the framerate be that unstable on any platform.
all you have to do is turn of RT and then you get a locked 60 on series s.
they should lock to 30 on Series S RT and the last gen systems.
Still seems like a very small advantage to me. It's not like the framerate is so bad on the PS5 that it ruins the experience. I agree that Sony needs to get VRR working though.
Hopefully it gets patched into the PS5 soon for those with VRR displays.
Edit: Sony did market VRR support so I'm sure they are working hard on it to avoid a law suit.
not necessarily. with RT reflections for example you can run into a CPU bottleneck or simply a GPU bottleneck. real time reflections means less culling as objects/characters behind the camer need to be loaded/animated
so while the act of calculating rays might be faster on Series X, the thing that you see in reflections might mean other parts of the hardware are limiting performance

Sony fanboys downplay the 1-5 fps xsx advantage? But If it was the other way around they'd make sure even their neighbor knows about it.
This is why it's not out yet. Since they have so much invested with TVs, Film, Imaging Sensors, etc., they are waiting on the HDMI board to certify it. Supposedly it's done, but held up due to certification. These are the rules Sony has always played by when it came to certs. You’d figure it would be a pretty big priority for them considering part of their business is selling TVs with VRR, it’s a weird situation when their competitors hardware works better on their TVs than theirs do.

There is a static data to establish such things. What you think to see isn't it exactly scientific.Just watched the video, clear Xbox advantage through the whole play through. He already admitted to making it up because he was butthurt about the PS getting too much praise at the time.So nearly identical on both systems?
