*sigh* I don’t normally do this, but on the off-chance you are arguing in good faith (no evidence thus far): reading the headline and concluding “devs leaving 343 = devs leaving Japan Studio!” is completely off-base. You need to actually read the article to understand the point, which is that Halo Infinite -
one game, the only game the studio is working on, the most important game in the Xbox brand - has been in development hell for years, and that seems to be why folks are leaving. But in spite of this, MS is not closing the studio or anything.
Japan Studio on the other hand, there is no development hell. Several of their latest games have underperformed (which I hate, bc they are good games), and therefore Sony is closing/consolidating the studio into the Team Asobi studio. Which (rightfully) pissed off some folks, who then left.
