I think alot of folks had PS Plus stacked for years and just paid the $150 premium upgrade the rest of there subscription.I’m calling bullshit on this.
Premium is worthless but...

I’m calling bullshit on this.
yea, I got to say....I'm fucking surprised. I thought for sure most would be on Extra tbh
I did this too but this ended in June 2022 which is where it saw the most growth. Still had fairly decent growth thereafter though.I think alot of folks had PS Plus stacked for years and just paid the $150 premium upgrade the rest of there subscription.
Edit: also there was a loophole that if you bought PSNow for cheap you would be automatically upgrade to premium when it came out.
Thought this was coming tomorrow? Guess they want to get it out of the way before the Showcase.
That's a really impressive percentage on Premium tier. And actually, really good on both combined considering PS+ is, what, around 45 - 48 million? That ratio should also give a nice boost to the ARPU.
Now, c'mon Microsoft. Give us a damn Game Pass update, it's been like 18 months going on at this rate. Can't give sub count update, can't give a revenue update, but can talk about "transparency" to keep the community safe. Kinda ridiculous.
Surprised here, too. But to K'Dash's point...no the numbers can't be BS, otherwise they'd get sued by shareholders for lying to them (and probably investigated by the SEC on top of that).
Premium sucks though.
Did they just leak the new silent hill?

Must have forgotten about that one.
Must have forgotten about that one.
Premium is only $20 more for the year subscription so it honestly feels like a better deal than Extra. I re-subbed to Extra only cause I pretty much own all PS3 games I ever wanted and playing then locally on my PS3 is a better experience.I was not expecting Premium to grow that fast as a tier or have more subs than Extra.
Did they just leak the new silent hill?
Edit: Nevermind, we already had known the title, apparently…

I really want backwards compatibility.I was on Premium, but I rarely ever played ps1 or ps3 games. Downgraded to Extra to save a few bucks and still get everything I enjoy.
Best deal in gaming

Wasn’t Jimbo just saying they were pumping the brakes on PC ports?
No.
He said don't expect day one PC releases for their AAA single-player games.
They like having a three tier release.
1. PS5 launch at $70
2. A year or so later go into PS+
3. Drop a PC version for $60-$70
Edit: also there was a loophole that if you bought PSNow for cheap you would be automatically upgrade to premium when it came out.
Premium sucks though.
What's your point? They release new games on PS5 and games that are now a year old on PC.But that chart says theyll be releasing the same amount of games on PC as PS5 in FY 2025

If 2 or more PS5 games released in 2024.But that chart says theyll be releasing the same amount of games on PC as PS5 in FY 2025

I kind like this approach. Bring more games to steam. If 2 or more PS5 games released in 2024.
In 2025 those same games will be releasing on PC.
This means Jim Ryan is correct about PS games releasing 1-2 years on PC after PS5 release.
I do too. Not because I want to play it on PC, but that likely means an upgraded version will come to PS5 as well.I kind like this approach. Bring more games to steam.
I hope they drop bloodborne pc this showcase though.
