Xbox version will come out 2025 october.

Pro releases 2024 november.

Silent hill 2 pro mode is likely already available therefor can be played in pro mode way before the xbox version.

Given your 2 options you listed, the xbox option is not happening on your end.

Also xbox version would be on par with the base ps5 version so unless you dont have a ps5 i dont see why you want to wait a year

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Base PS5. Not getting a Pro and my 1060 laptop probably will melt trying to run this 🤷‍♂️

(will double dip for definitive Xbox re-release next year)

I don't have a PS5, but I have preordered a PS5 Pro.

There have been no announcements of PS5 Pro Enhancements as of yet.

I do own an Xbox Series X.

If there are PS5 Pro Enhancements, then I will get it on PS5.

If after a year after its release, there are no PS5 Pro Enhancements and it doesn't appear there will be, then I will get it on Xbox Series X when it is highly likely released because I prefer using it as my default third-party console.

As i said.
Pro enhancement is guaranteed.
Worst case you still get the boost mode benefit which will still be miles better than what you get out of xbox.

Also if you get the pro you will never go back to xbox for third party games.
On that note, welcome to the pro club

PC most likely.

I'd just like to know if there's native dualsense support there inclusive of haptics/triggers (even if wired) before purchasing.

Silent Hill 2 is the first game I've ever played on PS2, my first experience with "128 bit" visuals. I'd love this remake to be my first PS5 Pro game.

Not sure how it runs, but visually speaking PC version surely is a great looking one:

Seeing Bloober pulling a Dead Rising situation on the platform:

Would make me a really, really happy child.

waiting for the Digital Foundry PC video.
I can basically get "PS5 Pro" quality on my PC in theory... but this is Unreal Engine 😬😬😬

Has an incredible atmosphere will it lend itself better to handhelds?
Quote the opposite for me. It's too small a screen to get fully immersed in the horror.

These games are best enjoyed in front of a monitor, with good headphones.
Tv's from afar is also quite immersion-breaking (for me)

I didn't buy a 4090 for nothing......... PC all the way for the highest fidelity and framerate. I'll buy the physical version later on for PS5 when it goes on sale (hopefully a black friday sale).

Im pretty annoyed you idiots gaslit me into buying it on PC where it runs like its been shat out of the hole in a needle.
When in doubt go with gut feeling and get it on PS5.

Now I need to wait about a month and a half for a half arsed patch. :messenger_pouting:

EDIT!
Found the DLSS settings under supersampling if anyone cant find it, getting 75ish fps 4090/7800x3d (quality)

Game is super heavy,.

At 69.99 I’m waiting for a deep sale. Hoping it’s good but too expensive for what should have been 39.99 IMHO these.
Oh ps5 pro whenever
