Let's talk about making big Bells.
In past games, my goal was to convert my entire town to a huge orchard of non-native fruit trees. Then I would spend 30-40 minutes every four days making a TON of money. I can't remember exactly but I want to say it used to be like 500,000 or so?
Now, though, I'm not sure that's the most effective way to make money anymore. I can spend 30 minutes on the island catching beatles/sharks and make a lot, close to 100,000 and I can do this at any time.
Do you guys still think the giant orchard method is still worth pursuing? Is there another big Bell method I'm overlooking (not including turnips, which I hate dealing with)?

Turnips in my town are 69 bells now. I paid 94 and they've been falling ever since. Am I going to get my money back?

Yes, i know, but it's fine to me, especially when I really only get a chance to play at night, so I skip to the opposite time of the day. haha
I'm around the same progress as everyone else though, so I'm not cheating myself so much, other than fossils, but that was only yesterday because I was bored and it was a rainy day in my AC town and gyroids were everywhere. Got them stuffed in my dresser.

I'm waiting until I get my silver axe before going crazy with tree organization.
Want special stumps when I chop those non-fruit bearing/native fruit trees down.
May even keep a few around instead of replacing them if mushrooms pay off especially nice.

If you want medals you'll have to play the turnip game. And if you ask me, with Gaf as your backup you can't really go wrong with turnips in this game.

Dammit, so I did my entire morning routine, added new entries into my museum, did some villager requests and made a good amount of progress.
And then while walking around my game card came out of my 3DS. I thought Resetti was supposed to be a save backup or something, but I guess not since none of my flowers are watered, my fossils are undug, all weeds are back and my new museum entries are gone.

Good point. I'll do both to maximise profits. I hope there is no penalty for having too many fruit trees because my residents are going to be overrun with them.
Turnips just don't interest me because I don't like the hassle of having to travel to strangers' towns get good deals or take a risk.
