MLB the show I don't know much about, but it a sports game with card packs right? all I hear every year is its the worst version ever, id say "gatcha" but I guess thats live service
Gran turismo I forgot about admittedly, solid game and keeps getting stuff, but that was all prior to the big live service push from Sony which destruction was the vanguard of.

as for the cancellations and why Haven, yeah your right there just "delayed" with nothing be shown of any of them, as for the Haven game I'm going to say it right now with extreme confidence, its going to flop and flop hard, I mean look at the damn thing.

Jim Ryan's left over unaborted GaaS games are slowly coming out and there just fucking terrible, I honestly think Helldivers slipped through as some sort of "small budget indie" thing for them. But saying "Sony's not failing with GaaS" is a bit of a reach, because they are obviously going to.

I hope Astrobot does well, because im sick of the above shit wasting dev's time.

Mario hasn’t been great since Galaxy

Won’t be hard for AstroBot to kill it, so to speak, it looks vastly superior to recent entries

Not to mention the Asobi team is made up of ex-Nintendo devs that wanted to work on more ambitious projects

I want to play this so bad, but I can't play any games with controller gimmicks. Praying to god they can be disabled. I wish Sony would announce the full list of accessibility options.

- Gran Turismo came out a year after Destruction All Stars. Not the other way around
- Even if Haven's game flops (which i'm also 100% sure it will) we still have stuff like Horizon's game coming out. Sounds like if Sony has a 2 to 1 hits on GaaS titles it's still much better than the average this industry sees usually. They know many of these games will not do good.

About Astrobot, I hope it does well. And if you're sick of GaaS titles, good thing Sony only released 3 this year. You still got TLOU2 Remastered, Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, Astrobot, Silent Hill 2 (timed exclusive), FFVII Rebirth, Until Dawn Remake, Lego Horizon, etc

Next year we already know about Death Stranding 2 and Wolverine is the other title they announced. Both aren't GaaS titles so seems like you got a lot :)

Ehhh it plays nothing like sackboy, knack or Kirby. Much closer to Mario Galaxy which was also a 10/10 pretty much everywhere. This one has better boss battles too.

I’ve played them both. They don’t play similar at all. You can make the order, assassins creed and uncharted look similar with just a still image. Means nothing.

Its 3D world with a PS flavour hopefully its as good. Looks like it will deliver.

This makes no sense. Astro till this day ia the only game that uses the controller in the beat way possible and it never feela gimmiky. Here its a part of the experience.

You didnt like playroom?

Sony really needs to focus on "cinematic" games made by failed filmmakers like The Last of Us and new God of War and more on games like Astro Bot, that are fun and charming and aren't embarrassed about being video games

Hyped, game still looks awesome. Like how this is seemingly getting a push as well, actually had an ad show off this game to me last night watching TV. Really didn't expect that for a 3D platformer in the year 2024

I am not sure if you can play this without the features as its part of the gameplay.
But i would assume that this time around it can be turned off as its for a wider audience and at full price where as playroom was all about showcasing the new controller.

Wait for review or wait for someone here to let you know if its an option.

Time to support. No excuses. Get off fortnite, cod, ubisoft games(cuz I know you bought those $100 plus editions of that Star Wars Outlaw, save the lies for someone else), all these gaas games you're throwing your money at continuously. Money should be on Astro Bot.

I love the Last of Us games but I agree with you. Games should be video games and not everything needs to try to be a "movie".
