This was the first time I bought the early access, just needed something to dive in to, it’s great. I’m sure it’s not the next Elden ring but for what I wanted it’s perfect

Yea, I think I'm going with gun mage. Looks cool as fun. Or I'll try everything early without upgrading too much to have a feeling.

The only thing I dont like with my dual wielding is losing the ability to block/parry.

Well I ventured out and got wrecked then came back to the first area. I’m using a shield/Axe so far but I’m saving up to get a good wand I saw at a merchant.

Its looking really damned good from these videos. Cant wait for unlock on the 18th, it means you can start playing after midnight on the 17th (tomorrow)? Or is it a later in the day launch

I’m doing Dawntreader now, but apparently I’m late to the party because I’m slaughtering the enemies here. Some great visual vistas inside the mission zone too.
After a mostly sour first impression, I am starting to enjoy myself. I suspect it benefits from the PoE setting which I am fairly familiar with. Using an established setting was smart, I’d kill for an actual D&D game made in this fashion.
It isn’t the game I wanted, but I’m finding it interesting so far and that’s a good thing.

it let me do both options. I got zapped and died then came back lol and when I talked to them I said the dude was still alive and to leave him be. It seemed to end and complete just still showing as active

It already does I believe ? Or is gamepass / steam version different again like what happened with some games?
Be sure to swap dlss to transformer model, it has cleaner image quality by far but especially with hardware RT.

Yeah, Game Pass version doesn't have it i believe, but Steam version has it.
Quick question, where do i swap the transformer model, in the game or Nvidia App?
Edit: not sure but Game Pass version may have DLSS.

Unless somehow there's a patch to include DLSS 4 at launch, then you'll have to swap in the nvidia app.

If you look one post above you i clarify that Game Pass supports DLSS 3 now and 4 on launch. Not spreading anything.

It's very reminicent of Skyrim but the main combat is more fun i'd say. The loot is mostly well tied in with the exploration with is tied to side missions so everything gels quite good. I really like it after 5 hours.

i found the missing soldiers. Killed the Oracle for stealing their souls, put the relic in the machine because the voice me wanted to, then reported back to the soldier in Paradis.

10h in playing on the xsx balanced mode, this game is pretty fun with combat and exploration, side quest are pretty cool so far, mothafuckas be hating this game for nothing its a good game

Doing a melee/shield build i found a unique sword that does fire damage and a unique shield that give me more stamina and if i parry i get a bug to help me and you?

Dual dagger crit fisherman. Found a flaming dagger that does flame burst when landing a charged attack or full attack. Enchanted it so the fire accumulation of the burst spreads to nearby enemies. In the second loudout I just use a bow. The bow has higher crit chance when you zoom in and i enchanted it so the damage and action speed goes up a short window after you kill an enemy. I also keep a ton on grenades on me.

Loving the game so far, but it just feels soooooooo cringe with so many females as the military type characters. It's distracting much like Starfield was, but even worse. It's practically a matriarchal society in this game.

Are Avowed bears really in your face all the time?
I'm about bared out after playing 18 hours of Farcry New Dawn.
One sequence had my character drugged out fighting demon bears that just went on way too long.

Lame comparison. It's not an Elder Scrolls game with physics as a focus. It also does a lot of stuff better than Skyrim.

Skyrim is from 2011, and Oblivion is already 19 years old, so we should expect much more from games released much later. In Avowed, almost nothing moves – as if there were no wind.
Not to mention NPC reactions or physics. Technological progress is massive; we have tons of advanced hardware, new super-ultra engines, AI… and yet we can't seem to take advantage of it. In terms of presentation, some games even feel like a step backward.

I feel like the entire challenge is given by the character\enemy level descrepancy because the enemy move set are very limited and easy to dodge, but you get stuck in the geometry or try to revive an ally (they are always down after 2 min and sometimes it's tricky to get the revive prompt on screen) and they bi-shot you.
Combat still feels right because of how punchy it is, but the challenge feels artificial (i still take this over no challenge)
The game has 2 strange bugs:
Sometimes i can't fast travel
Sometimes my lb button open the start menu but not the ability wheel
The randomly appaer and randomly disappear, but no crash and the game run fine.
Overall the exploration and combat push me forward but the writing is very the outer world-ish, males are incapable or gay or cunts, the women are almost all ok.
The 2 companions are as fucking dull as they come, especially the dwarf and i just meet the furry one and her voice is like fucking cancer
P.s. until now the gold loot has been pretty boring, ngl.
Overall this is definitely a quintessential 7\10.

Some areas are locked from you fast traveling. There is an indicator that appears in the top left corner.

If you want some rapid fire you have to go with wands, like double wands.

Jump is x, you have stamina but not for parkour, yeah you see your hands during vault.
The run, jump and vault feels very dying light-ish, but the parkour is not as precise and sometimes is hard to tell what you can vault, like sometimes he climb with no visible place to put hands and sometimes he doesn't climb even if you can physically vault, parkour is mostly used to reach high places during exploration to get some loot.
