Another round of MS paying to garner positive reviews, so "best RPG of the year", "incredible adventure", "high engagement", etc. when in reality it will be mid as fuck....5/10

Or an excuse by warriors that because the game is on Gamepass we should expect low CCU / software sales.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl got a peak CCU of 121,335 despite releasing on Gamepass day one . So we have an example of successful games launching on Gamepass and having high CCU on Steam.

• Will it have a higher CCU count than LAD Pirate Yazkuza?
• Will it have a higher CCU count than Failguard?
• Will it be similar to Indiana Jones' CCU count?

All interesting questions I'm eager to have answers to.

I’m not expecting miracles from the Steam CCU count. Firstly, the game is on Gamepass, and secondly, most WRPGs don’t really chart that high, with a few notable exceptions. Look at the CCU count for the Pillars games, or others like Outer Worlds, Solasta, and Rogue Trader. Maybe it can capture the imagination like BG3 did, but no Obsidian game has ever managed that, not even New Vegas.

KOTOR 2 sales is at 1.5M iirc.

Pillars 1 & 2 barely surpassed 1M combined

Does anybody care and would not recommend any fans of RPGs to not play it because of sales? I don't get this morbid curiosity. Yea, gamers have shit tastes for the most part. No wonder GAAS appeared like mushrooms. Same thing for immersive sims, how many studios closed because gamers didn't show up to some of the best genres in gaming?

Strange, I don’t see any posts from you alleging the same thing for KCD 2 reviews.

I don’t see the same theorizing for reviews for Monster Hunter Wilds either.

Based on early footage it looks like more of the same. Hopefully the character building is more interesting this time around.

Combat look much better, way more punchy, it's 95% of the reason why i'm gonna try the game even after the outer worlds gave me pubic crabs.
