The people asking for SOCOM, should tell us who is going to develop it.

And we needed this "leaked" why, exactly? Official announcements when they happen aren't sufficient anymore? I am sorry, but it is a ridiculous aspect of pop culture to me. People get excited because someone said "something" is gonna happen. Someone here claimed he is legit or accurate because he leaked hardware discounts during the holidays lol. Companies are going to put hot items on sale during the holidays?! Wow, what a true leaker! lol

That kind of goes hand in hand. It's not like it was announced 18 months ago and it was hazy that it was a 2025 release... It was literally announced a month ago and he doesn't know it's coming out next year?

I like the way Playstation is announcing games this generation over last generation.
Astro was announced months before it came out.
The Pro was announced months before it came out.
Rebirth was announced and came out within a year.
I'm sure Ghost of Yotei will be released within a year from announcement.
Last generation games were announced waaaaay to early and then it feels like your waiting forever.
With the current climate of forums and social media, I feel like this is a better strategy going forward for announcing games (for everyone).
I get people's frustration, but I feel like it's definitely better than before. We were just talking about games for years before they released and the speculation and criticism would get out of hand.

I get it, it was fun times in the past.
I think the reason they do it this way is because alot of gaming communities have become super negative about everything and want to rip everything apart. I think they realized this and they just stopped giving details, until they're pretty much ready to go, instead of dealing with people over analyzing things like early versions of games or freaking out about delays, etc.
Sometimes people are their own worst enemies
So now they don't tell us much and let it just happen when it releases. Nintendo does this as well. Xbox was the only one this generation that just kept talking and talking....and we all saw how that turned out.

Yeah, I have a crazy backlog on PS5 and Steam.
There is almost too much to play, I literally don't understand when people say there is nothing to play.
I have at least 5 games I'm super interested in that I'm waiting to play. I still haven't played Stellar Blade (I might buy it today), Armor Core 6, DD2, Silent Hill 2, Metaphor or Shadow of the Erdtree. That's months of gaming right there. Lol.
Even in 2025. GTA VI, Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2 are going to keep me occupied for a while.

Tweets like these just expose these fanboys. They may get leaks but when you're spinning something like accessories as something big.
Anyway, I still think Sony will so something special for the 30th anniversary.
The pro has just launched and they have momentum from that. It's time they showed some great things and I think its the perfect time to with the anniversary.

PS5 has some great 3rd party games and most are exclusive.
But just like the PS3 & 360, they go where the gamers go.
And Sony, not Square, Capcom, Fromsoft or some other studio that's sign a exclusivity deal, needs to show us why to choose Playstation.
Because at the moment, they're basically living Rent free.
What's worse is what is on offer is Concord or shit made in the same mindset, so you don't actually want that shit anyway

was it E3 2015 that was the E3 of dreams? Feels like the whole industry has been coasting along since then.
Sure, there are amazing third party games coming and Sony have had a select few bangers for my personal taste. Returnal, Helldivers II and Astro bot are brilliant games. But, I am sorry games like Horizon and GOT do not come close to the epicness and speciality of Uncharted 2, God of war III, LOU 1. PS3 was a special console. A tough launch, sure but that launch made them pull out the stops and win the fanbase back.
