GPU makers need to learn the schemes that ultra high-end EDC knife makers use. There's a maker, I won't name them (but the name is Grimsmo Knives) who are releasing their first new product in 12 years. Since they don't want to eat the cost of R&D, they're selling the first 100 shitty prototype knives as "Artist Proofs" to their most die-hard customers. Nvidia could learn a thing or two from that level of grease. Keep in mind, we're talking about $1,500 pocket knives here.
