Finished part 1.
The acting from anyone under the age of 40 is still awful, the writing can still be a bit cringy and somehow the production values and set design still look like a low budget student project.
Loved it, can't wait for the other 2 parts.

Bringing in a bunch of asian actors, all of whom probably did martial arts since infancy, is gonna elevate the fights but hope the regulars can keep up.

Yeah there was a stark contrast in the few fights scenes we got from them vs everyone else. Hopefully the editors and stunt people can make it so it looks at least somewhat believable when the main characters beat them.
The only legitimately disappointing part of this season so far is that the fight scenes somehow feel worse? It's like the kids didn't do much to stay in shape and they have to use more camera tricks and cuts to make the fights look decent. Like Sam gained considerable weight and I'm supposed to believe she is in her best shape ever and is a world class fighter.

Yeah, that's just the deal with actors. Cobra Kai is a role to them, not necessarily a lifestyle, so whether or not they really embrace martials arts and training isn't relevant. Mary Mouser is almost THIRTY, maybe she is having kids between seasons? And while CK is the only thing she seems to have going on, I doubt hard core MMA training is a part of her contract or a particular interest to her. She has no sex scenes or much that really requires her to be in good shape, the wardrobe team does an ok job.

Tanner Buchanan (Robby) and especially Peyton List (Tory) seem more focused on physique and athletics but even they look more "GQ model" than a fighter.

Yeah I mean to each their own. They might have other stuff going on that prevents them from staying in shape (like you said, maybe a pregnancy or something).
I still sort of find it weird, staying in shape is literally part of their job and many people manage to do so while working on something completely unrelated

Part 2 trailer.

There is gonna be a "S6 part 3" block of episodes as well, right?

I hope they REALLY dialed in the fights, looks like it, because at this point I'm ready to put all the tween drama aside and get down to kicking ass! Give us something like "Best of the Best" (and damn, totally forgot JEJ was in this, RIP!)

combined with Bloodsport and just get nuts!!!

The season is split in 3 parts.
Unfortunately way too many episodes for this kind of series.
After a while the fights all look the same.
It obvious they wanted to milk the series and the IP.

Good its done by then. This series was top tier when released on Youtube Red. Kind of went repetitive after season 3. Guys switching sides by being misunderstood, Jonny and Daniel falling out again, reconciling, falling out again. It has run its course imho and 15 eps might be too long as I wasn't entirely sold on the first 5 and you can see where it goes.

Miguel and especially Sam indeed look more out of shape with every season.

Part 2 of Season 6 got released. Who all watched it?
I marathoned it all last night till 5am.
Loved the extra talented people of the other dojos bringing a lot of the fights.
and damn at the end. Didn't know Season 6 was going to be freaking a 3 parter.

RIP Kwon. Axel is a monster. He took down everyone that tried to fight him, and no one ever got a hit on him. Other than like one kick that he just tanked with no movement.

Holy fuck part 2 was fucking hype. The music, the fights....that...ending...what the fuck. This show escalated to my top 10 shows of all time.

Ep10 was one big WTF episode in the worst possible way.
Nothing made sense. Conflict for conflict sake. It's obvious that they ran out of ideas.

That was a great part 2.
Thought it

was just going to be a simple reduction of teams season.

Looking forward to part 3.

I have watched the first episode of part 2. I don’t know how you all have watched all the episode. Get jobs meet women.

you work and sleep 16 hours. you can spend 4 hours with your boyfriend and you still have 4 hours to watch 5 episodes of Cobra Kai since its just around 30 minutes per ep.

Damn bro you cook and help kids for 8 hours? Awesome parenting then but you can order food once or twice a week to watch your favorite shit. Your kids should watch Cobra Kai and Karate Kid with you if they havent tho.

I thought that at first but then I realised it's the final ending season so time to say fuck it and go all out with the action. It was never a thought provoking show.

I've only seen the first two episodes of part 2 but it's been a lot of fun. My favorite part so far is seeing Lewis Tan as the sensei of Iron Dragons. Ironic, since he was also in Netflix' Iron Fist. He also played the main character (Cole Young) in the new Mortal Kombat movie.

I wish the writers would stop the back and forth between Dani and Johnny, though.

Watched it over the weekend. There's nothing much new to say about it but it remains fun and I thought it had a good mix of the usual interpersonal drama and action. It was nice seeing the kids actually compete in a tournament.
A lot of the new characters have also helped make the fights more dynamic, you can tell they focused mostly on getting athletic actors because the main cast has sort of been getting worse each season.

Watched them all this weekend. I enjoyed it but am ready for the final part and for it to be over.

Yeah it's fun but it's also good that it's ending. You can really tell they've mostly run out of ideas. There are only so many times Cobra Kai and Kreese can return, Johnny and Daniel can get into a fight only to realize they need each other and the kids can go through samey relationship problems before it goes from repetitive to just tedious.

Hopefully the nail the end.

I thought I recognized him from something.

I guess they're running out of ideas, surprised that they're not gonna dive into "The Next Karate Kid" actors

I watched episode 2. Miyagi Dojo is really stinking it up. They better get their act together.

The problem was that the "extra" action didn't make any sense. The whole scene felt forced. Beside the whole season was (until now) pretty much action packed, there was no reason to put even more action.

Hilary Swank in an interview was asked if she was involved with Cobra Kai season 6 and said "I don't think i am". 1) That's a bit of a weird answer. Either she is or she's not. 2) This suggests they've definitely have approached her. Both parties just haven't reached an agreement. Given that we've seen pretty much everyone return, is going to be really disappointing if they don't get her.

I'm still hoping for Hilary to arrive in part 3. She's just the mentor Tory needs given what they went through.

I haven’t finished part 2 just yet but it is a bit odd seeing the Red Ranger (Miguel) take a backseat and give the Blue Ranger (Robby) leadership this season.

Maybe that makes Robby the Green Ranger instead 🤔

lmao every time I watched the show, Power Rangers always came to mind and Robby is no doubt the green/white ranger. He stole the spotlight in this season, tho I have a feeling Miguel will come into the spotlight against that tall dude from the iron dragons.

And the “cut the feed” AFTER all that bullshit was the most 80s thing ever.

Yea I am catching up now, in season 4, and it's the same problem as Billions. You can only do so much with this premise so they just redo the same plot points over and over. It relies on the strength of the cast and the fan service callbacks to the old movies. I liked the episodes where he went to Japan even though Karate Kid 2 is a massive piece of shit movie.

Wow, that part 2 finale was AMAZING. I already have a high regard for the writers but the way they continue to use fights to advance character is just stellar. For all the episodes there is still so little wasted space even if characters make loops at times. And that finale had so many reasons to cheer beyond just "want good guys to win".

And that music was great. The irish bits, adding in the eagle cry, so much fun.

Fights have never looked better in the show. Good stuff.
The weakest actors are still weak (Sam, Miguel).

Seeing the impressive martial arts history on the new actors though, damn! They're amazing.

Finished the latest tonight. I, too, am ready for the show to be done, but they've done a good job keeping it interesting STILL. Even with all the kind of lame see-sawing (like.. enough already!) They did a great job splitting up the 1st two parts of this final season without making it feel ridiculously cheap, and I trust that they will make the last third feel like a well-earned ending at this point.

And I will then look forward to the eventual S7 which takes place in an Intergalactic Karate Tournament on the Space Station.
