The Football Season 24/25: 115 Reasons For Man City Not To Win Anything

Strange, it was always 130 charges I believe.
Anyway, they'll probably get off easy. I have zero faith in City getting actual punishment, no matter how guilty they are.
Punishment seems to be for the lesser clubs with far less charges (Reading, Nottingham, Everton etc)
Yeh 130 has been the number for years. There was a misunderstanding that led to some saying 115 and that number then stuck and became the meme.

I also don't really expect anything to come from it.

Manchester derby and Mount is injured again after 11 minutes. The man is made of glass, must be related to Martial.

What a terrible team . full of fucking piece of shits
Feel sad for all the managers.

Why can't these guys press.
All the other teams always press better than these guys.
i feel like puking when united tries to press

Trent shoves Madison with zero attempt to play the ball - No foul.

Szloboaklazi slides, misses the ball then gets tangling with Son - No foul.

Glad Kulusevsky has had a word with the Scouse ref.

Leicester winning will make the bottom half as interesting as the top. I thought Everton were safe this season but they could be right back in it

But I expect Liverpool to win.

Liverpool doing better than i expected at the beginning of the season with Slot, still cautiously optimistic but also aware the bubble could burst at any time, so no prediction's

the biggest mistake United can do now is to sack Amorim.

it´s not his fault he has such a shitty squad.

The guy is very good but one can only do so much.

united needs time and full clean house.

We've been conditioned to assume it won't be easy, but the strong start has set things up beautifully. We need around 15 wins from 21 games for the 90 point mark, which is likely to be more than enough at this stage. Arsenal need 19 wins from 21 games.

With regards to Amorim, the mark of a good manager is the ability to change things when they aren't working. When Klopp arrived at Liverpool he tried implementing his Dortmund 4-2-3-1. It didn't work and he changed it to a 4-3-3 with wingers and overlapping fullbacks. Arteta parked the bus when he went to Arsenal to start with, it even won him a cup. You have to adapt to the squad you've been left with.

If the 5 at the back doesn't change, it will get him the sack.

I think there will be a big exodus of players in january and at the end of the season for sure.

Gyokeres will probably go to united next season

Finger's crossed, but the only team to not win the league from being top at christmas is the Pool. more than once, not a record i'm proud of lol. hope the win's continue.

This is shit. Clubs should be a fixture of their community.

Cost cutting by Ineos.

The same people that kept ETH and gave him a contract extension only to then get rid of him at further cost.
They waited for Dan Ashworth and paid off his contract to Newcastle and then got rid of him, at further cost.

They're now doing more cost cutting, like the SAF ambassador role, increased ticket prices and whatever else. Their incompetence is being paid for elsewhere.

When you look how much has been wasted on transfer fees, wages and other payments like Ashworth's or Ten Hag's renewal it's ridiculous that they're now cutting costs with things like this. The Ferguson ambassador role one got a lot of attention but honestly didn't bother me as much as some of the other stuff. I'm happy for Ferguson to get whatever he can but ultimately the man is a multi-millionaire who is more than set for life. But stuff like this, cutting money to the disabled supporters association or trying to take away the access provided to Matt Busby's family are such relatively small sums of money and cutting them isn't worth the bad PR.

As I've seen others say, seems like Ratcliffe is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. Feeding back into the community is so valuable, that connection is one of the things that sustains a club.

Agreed and there's been a lot of "Sheikh Jassim" stories resurfacing lately because the media is jumping on the bandwagon to pick apart Ineos's "plan". Hasn't SJR also not given any time to the women's team, so much so that he basically disregarded them in an interview as unimportant.
Another bumpy year ahead I think.

Is it just Salah that Liverpool will lose to the African cup in January? Their form needs to wobble or they will run away with this season.

I think Endo will be absent too

AFC Asian Cup

And nothing of importance was lost. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Salah is Liverpool. He provides the majority of their goals and assists, he'll be a huge loss and will also affect my FPL team!! :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Edit: Afcon isn't on until 2026. It's every 2 years.

I think a lot of people thought INEOS were going to be an instant solution. Now they're realising that's not the case and they have their downsides too. So people are then going to idealise what the other bid could have done. That if only Sheikh Jassim had won instead everything would be going smoothly. Nevermind the fact that if you go by the information provided by each side during the bidding it doesn't seem like Sheikh Jassim's bid was even real. I'd still rather have INEOS over a nation-state anyway.

The January window could be interesting... especially now we dont have Dan Ashworth so it'll be on Jason Wilcox & the scout network.
