This is golden boxart material right here baby

I'm still on page 10 of the thread, but people who dont think this looks like a souls game need to watch the opening to Demons Souls. That knight fights like a boss.
Also why are people asking for Demons Souls 2. The games are so similar and I think most prefer Dark Souls, I know I do. Demons Souls sequal would be PS3 only and that would be terrible for everyone.

The scenes on the rope bridge have me so fucking hyped, fighting enemies on that would be brilliant, and another Indy moment after Sens Fortress :D.

Sign the petition for the Wii U version and everybody can be happy.

I'd love some sort of Demon's Souls directors cut or something on Vita, but yeah, other than that there's no reason to have the next game in this series be limited to just one console, especially when I'd much rather play it on PC.

Not sure if i want to have the meltdowns i do have quite often while playing a Souls game on the go ... in the train ... in the public.

Keep it on home consoles and PC.

Do you even know what "dudebro" means?
Of course I do.

I was expanding the definition to include any and all parties that come across as the "bad ass" hero as opposed to what is normally found in a Souls game, an almost inconsequential and weak protagonist when compared to the rest of the game.

On the other hand, I did a very nice victory lap in my living room when I killed Smough & Ornstein for the first time. Doing that in public would mean people being there to actually applaud and cheer (my gf won't applaud, nor cheer).

She must have felt pain when you killed Ornstein.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
I would actually like them to change some things about the Souls games, but I will keep these to myself for fear of being burned at the stake.

And anyway... this game releasing soon after the last makes me think they won't have changed much at all.

Maybe in the next one...

I would make the master key thief only on first play through. After that it unlocks for all classes muahaha.

I hope that speed runs in the sequel are as awesome as current runs. Watching someone finish Dark Souls in under an hour with out glitches is amazing and informative.

I almost love watching quality Let's Play gameplay of Dark Souls more than actually playing it myself.

Just a few weeks ago I watched an entire playthrough of someone playing from beginning to end [no speedrun], showing all secrets, giving hints and tips and generally being very informative about the game and its mechanics. It was awesome.

not that I'm completely in favor of it, but why are Demons/Dark Souls vets getting all bothered over From possibly adding difficulty settings?

Is it just the principle of it or the fear that the overall game will be dumbed down somehow because of it?

I mean, you'd still have 'classic' mode, and those that aren't as hardcore would have an easier setting. Hell, there might even be a MORE difficult option for seasoned vets.

Just seems like win-win for everyone.
These are fantastic games and more people playing the better.
Even with an 'easy' mode, I'd have to imagine the game would still be more difficult than 95% of the mainstream games out there, but that's a complete guess. :p

edit: I apologize.
Seems this debate has been going on ad nauseum in the other Dark Souls II thread.

When higher levels yes. When lower levels basically thats asking to get ganked bad lol

Pfft, I wish there had been enemies that threatened me at low level. I went at mobs solo as Warrior like a boss in DD, day or night. The only genuine threat at low level was the
bandits on the path to the woods
if you were under leveled. Wish hard mode had been the good kind of hard mode (aka NG+ in Dark Souls). :(

I feel it will ruin the online aspect of the game by segmenting the amount of people online with those difficulty settings.

EpicNameBro on YouTube look him up. Did a break down on Dark Souls 2 video as well.

Thanks, seems like good videos. I never got any sense of story in DS2, I guess you have to search for it, or listen very carefully. I just like the idea of a world I do know nothing of, and it's overwhelming me with everything it's living in there.

I see where you're coming from, and it makes sense, and while it wouldn't deter me from purchasing DS2 by any means, I'd also be on the side of it doesn't need to be in the game due to the franchises' pedigree. No hand holding, no "easy" shit about it, just you and your witts, and prepare to die. There is dozens upon dozens of games that cater to that different difficulties market...why can't the players who just want this raw experience that Souls game gives remain that way?

I'm all for better "tutorials" and shit, but keep the experience as brutal as ever for ALL players.

I'm curious to see what sort of ideas other people have. Demon's -> Dark Souls did change quite a bit too, making it somewhat easier in many regards.

As long as your idea isn't as dumb as adding idolmaster costumes, would like to hear it. :p

There is difficulty settings. NG is easy, NG+ is hard, NG++ is nightmare hehe

Surely there's a board you might visit that has played the game before... :3c

You know, that was my biggest frustration when the game came out: I was still waiting for my membership on Gaf. And so there I was, condemned to read Duckroll, Ixix and the others in utter silence. A torment, I tell you.
