RT is not that impressive to me in this game. Feels like it is missing the nice colour bounce you get from games using Lumen lighting, or Metro Exodus Enhanced. In some scenes it can even look inferior to the baked global illumination seen in past titles. Was this a performance concession for console hardware?

Whether I buy the game or not, I'm happy that base ps5 has a decent performance for this game. And for ps5 pro owners, you are all very lucky to have Ps5 pro, because the Ps5 Pro performance was excellent on this game. Ps5 pro was worth it for those who bought it.

I don't see where you're coming at all. Can you provide an example from this game where baked GI looks better than the rt implementation?

Agreed.

Real time makes sense in this situation as this game has a day and night cycle and weather system with seasons etc. RT is the way to go with a game like this.

The Pro upgrades look fucking amazing, though I don't see me playing it twice just to get those features when I finally get a Pro when GTAVI comes out, its nice to see those upgrades are fucking legit.

While not as advanced technically, I still find AC Unity to be the episode with the most pleasing visuals. It's main issues is the draw distance, where you can really see some bad LODs, but outside of this, it can really look glorious at times. I find AC Shadows more bland looking, although cleaner.
