Dino Crisis 2D backgrounds look extremely blurry at higher resolutions, and mods with upacaled textures make them look like oil paint. This is absolutely the worst way to play the game.

I prefer PSX versions on SD CRT, because on CRT even 240p backgrounds look sharp and detailed. Also, the lower resolution hides imperfections (low poly models, low quality textures, LOD transitions). The PSX version emulated in Retroarch with CRT HDR shaders also looks amazing.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Fantastic news.

DC1 will benefit greatly cause it's all 3D. DC2's backgrounds will look like shit, but this should make modding easier, I suppose.

edit: aaaand bought.

You can use retroarch crt shaders with reshade and get the best of both worlds

Vote on other games, like Resident Evil: Code Veronica or Chronicles of Riddick, No One Lives Forever 1,2 and Contract Jack :>.

The Darkness 1 and 2 is also on the list

Code: Veronica doesn't even have a PC port .. not sure how that'd work. GoG just brings already existing PC games to modern OS.

No wide-screen support?

These are PS1 games man, lol.

And so what? There are wide-screen games on ps1 and thousand of homebrew patches to make older games wide-screen

Dino Crisis 1 has a wide screen mode with a fan patch, since it was fully 3D, it's easier, though you may see garbage data in the corners as the game wasn't natively intended to be 16 : 9

Dino Crisis 2 uses pre-rendered backgrounds, so it's impossible there unfortunately.

Does that mean DualSense has haptics? I don't believe that.
Me neither. I hate it when they say "full support". It probably comes from a time when we saw "100% compatible soundcard/gamepad" etc. back in the day. Like, what is then 60% like?

In terms of the DualSense I would love to expect Adaptive Trigger and Haptic Feedback support, because that's what the DualSense is capable of, hence "full" support. Given this is an PSX era game, not going to happen. But at least it seems to support the DualSense out of the box; no tinkering via Steam Input or other third party solutions needed.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Looks like there was a PC version for DC2 I never knew of.. Wow.

Instant buy, alongside the original RE trilogy these are have been on my dream wishlist for so many years.

Yeah, Capcom's PC support was always kind of random back in the day - they supported it around 98-99 with a bunch of stuff, and then tried it again in 2002 when they released DC2 and Mega Man X5 out of the blue. There was also a Breath of Fire IV port, though that was only released in Asia.

Great news. I actually have this in my PSN cart but I'd definitely rather spring for the double pack ( and RE 1/2/3 while I'm at it) on PC.

If DC2's backgrounds are pre-rendered then it's not unlikely that they will be upscale modded like people do with the classic FF games.

DC2 has been on the PC since 2002. Doesn't look like the community has the kind of love for it like the RE games, no similar Seamless HD style projects for it.

Bought the PS5 version but would much rather have it on PC. GoG doing the Lord's work. Just awesome news in every way.

My dumbass thought this was some GOG list made by themselves. It looks like users are adding games themselves regardless of released platforms and non-removable DRMs or online game functions...

Not true. There is the HD mod by Crazy Ivan and Nikizhi, Rebirth mod, and another ongoing REX-HD Project.

Aside from Rebirth (which is a compatibility mod more than enhancement), the other two are still WIP and seemingly only started work after RE Seamless HD's success.
