I think that Sony sees the win-win. PCs are getting more and more expensive to make - thanks to the GPUs, mostly - so a console will never stop being attractive for people who want to invest less than a thousand bucks for entry on a AAA gaming ecosystem. And those of us who refuse to venture into 'beta-male gaming hardware' territory, Sony knows we'll most likely dip our fingers in their library if they bring it to PC.I think they stopped caring about that when they initially began to put their AAA games on PC. It’s not really a “problem” for Sony if it makes them even more money; they’re firmly in the PC market now.
So even if 'just 50K people buy it on Steam', that still translates to 3 million dollar revenue (for starters), which I suspect costs less than what cost them to port the game on PC.
