I play on PSN, same name as my GAF one.

I gotta dig into AC+R ky still as I havent really bothered to learn him at all because well no one to play really :lol

My 3H set ups right now are pretty much the same as the reload ones.

His reworked ex into super chain is WAY better now for damage I'll say that much, can pump out half life with it in the corner easy. I still gotta see what I can do with the FRC on the lighting now as well. Havent looked at dustloop yet. I try to figure out stuff first before going there so I can transition into the higher combos faster as I know who stuff works xD

If your net connection is good I'd say go for it, +R would be a great tool for learning GG with and because Xrd is a bit more simple you'll have a LARGE edge vs people going in raw with it.

Xrd wont be out for a while so you got a little less than a year to play +R if you dive in now.

I think phoenix wright should be above ghost rider and hsien-ko. At least with his DHC options, you can get evidence pretty damn quick.

Basic 2D or VT knock downs into 3H oki

if you want them to tech in the corner on you do 5K into 3H on knockdown.

The EX chain I'm talking about is the Charge stun edge one, the damage and wall splat on it now is awesome

Yeah probably but like most tier lists people don't really put much thought in the lower tier characters, most of the effort is put on the upper bracket.

I would rate Phoenix Wright still in the bottom 5 but not bottom 2 anymore. He is just within that cusp of "characters who normally suck but can easily blow you up". Players have gotten better at leveling up Wright and in TA he's a legitimate monster... it's just that the timer on the mode really hurts him. Bottom 2 would still probably be Ghost Rider and Hsien Ko, those characters are just hopeless.

I've been thinking about picking up rachel and stop trying to learn litchi in bbcp. For some reason I like how rachel plays but I'm not sure if it'll be a worthwhile effort

i stopped playing marvel TWO years ago and I know this comment is hot doo doo butter bruh. viper's good.

Viper has some of the best supers for DHCs, DHCable supers leave the opponent in untechable knockdown state high in the air meaning almost ANYONE can follow up off of her. shit assits? yeah for neutral game. shit normals? yeah. specials make up for it. choose the right assist for viper for combos, the other to support neutral game and viper is a fucking monster i mean FOR FUCK'S SAKE her burning kick is a fucking overhead, that's a blessing for setups. she has resets that are nasty, easy unblockables that can set up combos (wesker low-gun * burning kick is an example)

viper with meter is one of the deadliest folks in the game. execution heavy? sure. but if you were real this woulnd't be an issue for you

Dahbomb has embraced anime, we just need to convert a few others like Enzo and the transformation of Anime-Gaf Weekly will be complete.

They are, lvl 3 x-factor ghost rider does ridiculous damage though from the one friend that I have that plays him anchor. Its pitiful though when you can play neutral with a better character.

Honestly, you didn't even need to elaborate on it any further, DC was just patently wrong. The only things that hold Viper back are that Firebrand exists and there are only so many people who would actually learn her. This is coming from someone who mained Viper/Dante/Strider.

I don't think she's some uncontested god in the game but she's no where near "ass" either. Unless we're applying the Ultimate Dante Principle™ to her since she isn't absolute derp.

Ky's 3H is a Mid, so the closest thing you have to a setup is frametraps. Outside of that, it's plain ol' footsies. You don't ever really expect to hit with 3H, the startup is barely faster than your Dust. 3H is mostly for jacking up the guard bar. Hitting with it requires a killer read.

Easiest frame trap is c.S-3H
The gap inbetween the close slash and 3H is rather big, so spacing is important to avoid many people's jabs. Close Slash is -3 on block though, so there aren't a lot of ways to mix it up with your 3H and something else.

Best frametraps are with StunEdge FRC, or after they block a CSE.

And 3H frametraps for itself just as well as c.S does. 3H is +15 on block, so it's whats coming after your 3H that people tend to fear of. And sometimes a 3H comes after your 3H.

People have complained in this thread multiple times over the years about the location, I've also heard players complain about it on 8WR and even Big Two streams.

Also someone said in this thread that they might have even increased the entry by $5 recently.

It's in the bottom eastern most part of Brooklyn. Considering where I am (the middlemost section of Brooklyn), it's a decent trip but the transportation is there. If these guys are coming from the outer most areas of the Bronx, Harlem/upper Manhattan and Queens as mentioned before, then that's a new level of dedication. It's a wonder how they made it out this consistently.

All the same, I totally agree, if something isn't bringing the numbers, then the NL crew have all rights to pack it up.

I can understand the location problems and distance.

The 5 bucks seems petty on the players parts though. I remember in the past the monitors being a problem as well, though I thought they fixed it.

Or do they all secretly hate golden stick cen? hehe.

Art came in this thread and said they've had EVO monitors for over a year now.

I guess by the time they got them, everyone was already going to HoC/their own sessions. I know for sure the The Arena guys and people at The Break only go out there so often because of how hard it is to get to (especially for Jersey).

Why pay the $5 for the name if you can get a similar scene nearby, potentially even for free/less? That's my inference for what's going on. Same experience, perhaps even more valuable because it's not as open of a venue and they can run long sets and/or it's game-focused.

When some people are paying tolls, etc. to get there, it adds up.
