I can't(first year student in Japanese), I have lots of people who can though.

Backdash has 2 more frames on it. In line with backdashes being nerfed across the board, and it won't make a huge difference.

Negative Resistance went from 2-4

6B gound bounces on air hit, used for combos

j.B untech time is less but nothing to cry about, just no more looping it like 3 times.

j.B gatlings into j.D now.

CT is a bit faster

10% chance to get acorn taunt.

Hiago (Makoto Mod, from Brazil) says she'll be pretty much exactly the same. As far as I know (I also play Makoto a bit) he's mostly right. I'm hoping we get IAD j.B > j.D stuff at least, who knows. She's not changing much overall though. My favorite change is the taunt change.

Edit: beaten. Oh well, I learned some things and got some insight.

Pretty much the conversation we had. The top tiers are really getting crapped on, and those MUs are basically what make her not playable. She's still not gonna be great, but she could end up at least useable which is all I ask.

I agree with what Kadey said, but the true test will be if the Marvel community stays at Next Level. Next week will they still come? Even if Bum's sessions take over, will they sustain over time or is the scene just shrinking? I've never put much weight on the scene centring around Chris G though. The Bum sessions existed without Chris G. 8WR scene sort of ballooned and deflated when Chris G stopped attending as well. EMP still had their own shit poppin' and TA tournaments is still going strong (I think?). Find it weird people would show up only to (maybe) play Chris G.

I think so too. I feel like part of it is the "freshness" of simply seeing her on screen + her being a character I like. She was used a lot in the vanilla days, but you hardly ever get to see her anymore and majors/events. I hope this changes with Ultra. Seeing Infil play... i mean, shit, he makes Dan look good, bopping dudes live.

I know I'm a little late to the party with the ESGN discussion, but I wanted to bring another issue up (hopefully it hasn't been thrown out already, but I've been crazy busy).

As someone who can't watch the show live, I would be more than happy to go back and watch an entire season of the show during the weekend. This gets completely ruined by the fact that they essentially spoil match results right there in the name and thumbnail of the videos. I realize that I could have someone else go and bring up whichever episode that I'm on, but when I go to the esgn YT page and see

I already know the outcome of the entire second season and that absolutely kills my desire to watch any of it. I realize there is still some worth in watching the matches for the actual gameplay and commentary, but this is a huge gripe for me. It's the same reason I don't like watching exhibition matches: I like to watch when something is on the line and I don't know how it is going to end up. Hopefully I'm not the only person here that feels they should just label the episodes 1,2,3,etc and let me watch them at my own pace. I'm also super irked that they are splitting the YT videos into three parts. If you want some commercial breaks, just place them inside one video.

Apologies again for my LTTP-ness, but I am desperately trying to enjoy this show regardless of its utter lack of hype most of the time.

Btw, I really do enjoy reading those spotlight sections.
That was a pretty cool idea, and thus far everyone's take on it has been really interesting and well written. Since we usually don't comment on it because of the recurrent "new title controversy", I just wanted to highlight that. :)

I don't know what y'all are on, the Shaq-Fu game looks awesome. The exaggerated art and animations looks awesome. Quickly jumped to the top of my most anticipated fighting games list. Even if it ends up being an action game.

They're stating on their indiegogo page that there will be a 1 on 1 versus game mode.
I'm really not fond of the animations we can see in the small CG trailer, it's a bit janky and... NRS-like.
