Been bashing FM today.

Transfers are solid. Every club is asking 40 million + for their players. Then I see Marchisio going to city for 13 million.

Xavi Hernández didn’t mince his words in an interview with Javier Sardà on BTV programme, ‘El Pla Sardà’ and left a phrase which could leave Leo Messi in more trouble than he bargained for. The Barça midfielder was asked about injuries and the famous gastroenteritis which affects so many footballers. Xavi explained that any player who suffers a stomach-related problem “might feel bad at first but you take a tablet then go out to play”. He later confessed, “In football circles, complaining of having a ‘stomach bug’ sounds like an excuse. It usually means there’s something else going on. When you hear someone has gastroenteritis you immediately think, there’s more to it that that. The worst of all are pains to joints”.

Xavi gave the interview just three days before Messi complained that he was suffering a bout of gastroenteritis which forced him to miss Barça’s open training session and also the team’s visits of a number of children’s hospitals in and around the city. Messi, along with Rafinha who is suffering an ear infection, were the only ones who didn't take part.

Barça four captains are due to hold a meeting with the Argentinean to act as mediators in the player’s conflict with Luis Enrique. Xavi’s declarations however, won’t help during what has been a very unsettled week at the club although the two have enjoyed a strong friendship for many years.

Took him a little while to get settled in and Michu was doing most of the scoring initially. Been more effective in the past calendar year obviously. A lot easier to score goals when you're surrounded by talent who are putting you in a position to score.

I have seen the kid play two times, when you take the age into account he is one of the biggest if not the biggest talent in many years. Can be as good as he wants, but i dont know if Real is the right step to take. The kid is also really humble, with both legs planted on the ground so i think that if he train good he can be something really good.

I'm trying to sign Godin but he's having none of it.

Just a lurker who's been inspired by Esch, who is "my hero, my mate". I hope no one took my attempt at banter seriously.

Anyway, seriously, any updates on how the players are doing, if anyone has better info than wiki and actually seem them play recently??

Cuadrado, Kone, Darmian, Marchisio, Ricardo Rodriguez, Valbuena, Griezmann, Hajrovic, Hummels, Coentrao and Witsel

And our academy is one of the world's best, if he's good enough he'll make it into the team (like Jese and Carvajal) and if he's not needed he'll shine elsewhere (like Mata, Callejon, Negredo).

Yep. If they make the final four, he (and Yaya) would miss 5 games and possibly 6. One of these is an FA Cup game of which he should be available for as he wasn't used in Swansea's recent game.

Rumor is he'll have his medical tomorrow -- apparently he hasn't left for Abu Dhabi yet (where Ivory Coast will have their camp before the tournament).

4th party ownership or some other scheme m8. That's the way of the Pinto da Costa.

In all honesty that's a bit worse for the agencies than for Porto I think. Of course, we will lose a valuable tool, and so will Benfica and other poor clubs. Will have to manage somehow.
