There is no such thing as early access - the game is either available for purchase or it is not.

All they are doing is charging an extra $30 or whatever during the game's first few days/week. They also withhold games from GamePass that week, but play with words so they can still claim it's "day one", when it is not.

After VR I thought I would never play another racing game without. But games like the FH series sort of made me forget that thought.

Don't mind the original launch date, the game has been polished ever since, FH5 is a solid good experience.

I have every car in the Xbox version of FH5 and I probably have 2-300 hours in GT7 and they are totally different games. I enjoyed logging in and doing all the weekly stuff in them (while it was still going in FH5.)

Topping the pre order charts doesn’t surprise me at all, at a conservative estimate I’d wager 65-70% of the PS5 user base bas neither has a Xbox nor games on a PC, for all intents and purposes this is a new release in a genre where The Crew Motorfest is PS5’s best in class. I can see this selling 10m +.

Yep. They are well past the point where they see "PS5 is our competition." Now Xbox wants PS5 to succeed in every way possible, so Xbox can sell more games overall. Making their games PS5 Pro enhanced is the only logical route now.

Besides, it's super funny to see Phil Spencer first dismissing PS5 Pro by saying mid-gen console refresh is not needed, and then going out of their way to enhance their games for the PS5 Pro lol.

All the FH5 talk led me to boot it up on PC last night and I lost multiple hours in the world again. I probably won't buy it again for PS5 Pro unless it does something PC doesn't, but man I bet this is going to be awesome there. Arcade racing fans are in for a treat.

DF also confirmed that Xbox dubbed Series X as their mid-gen refresh, and they thought PS5 would compete with the Series S. They'd have indeed thought that PS5 would compete with Series S, and PS5 Pro would compete with Series X, but that's so stupid.
