I have two more books in The Witcher Series to read before I'm all caught up

As for my thoughts on the book series as a whole. I prefer the two short story collections that kickstart the series way more than the books dealing with the overarching narrative

I played SMTV on Switch a couple of year ago. I'm planning on playing SMTVV on Steamdeck this year. And instead of replaying the old story, I'm going directly into playing the new content

I remember working in an ink factory back then with some hippy bloke, he'd come in with the worst pirated burnt cd roms of the latest albums, complete with faded printed covers, he'd burnt us a few for 50p. This was one of the albums. I liked it so much I went out and bought it two days later..

I still play that album in the car to this day :messenger_tears_of_joy:

..And now I remember that was nigh on 26 years ago

As for the Witcher books yeah that’s kinda how I feel. Short stories are fun. The first novel was interesting but afterwards it became a bore. I think the 3rd novel I really struggled with. The last book was a bit of an improvement I think. Have never read season of storms.

I’m doing the new content in SMTVV. Don’t wanna replay the original version. I liked how challenging the game is but I’m playing on casual (I think) now. Also I have the mitama ? on which is meant to make it easier but I can’t seem to fight them just now. They block everything and escape.

When I played the original I thought the first boss was really difficult but I didn’t know what I was doing then. Afterwards I was doing well up until near the end where I felt there was a huge difficulty spike. That’s why I’m playing on an easier level lol.

Started reading Tress of the emerald sea but cant do it its the third book I have tried from Brandon Sanderson and have fount them all boring

Which is a shame since the Videogame Trilogy is fantastic. I have two more books go through in that series. But like you I found the overall story to be boring. The Prequel book coming should be interesting to read since it's more of a one off

SMTV I didn't really enjoy but I heard that they really improved on the story and content when it comes to the new content. Also I play on Safety Mode too since I'm a lazy bastard when it comes to SMT games. Also love your PFP, I haven't played Persona 3 Reload yet but the OG Persona 3 FES is the first game I played in the series and it still has the best story in the franchise

Yeah that's understandable

I love Sanderson Cosmere stuff but his latest book Wind And Truth I had lot of issues with. I loved the Cosmere connections that the book dropped but I wasn't a fan of certain stuff that he wrote into the plot. It was weird since he usually a good writer (to me). And yeah he does fantastic World Building/Lore and Magic Systems but I feel his characters come off as kind of cookie cutter. There are a few characters he has written that I love to read about though

Persona 5 was the first one I got into like many others but 3 is definitely my favourite. I did play some FES on PS2 but my first playthrough was Portable. Reload is brilliant. There is even a FeMC mod which I might try :)

I didn’t mind the story in original SMTV. It’s not really a game that is heavy on story like Persona. It’s more about exploration and combat. I didn’t really pay much attention to the story. Probably won’t this time around either but I am interested to see what’s new.
