Say if I buy a 750gb sdd. What's the real size after placing it in my ps4?

630.3 GB.Likely around 732GB due to how they measure storage and then the OS takes up a chunk but it will be above 700gb all said and done.
OG PS4 wasn't even completely utilizing the SATA II though, it was transferring all the data through USB (2.0 IIRC), so if they just utilize the SATA data bus, we should see an improvement regardless.
I went ahead and ordered that 4TB 850 EVO. Should be here on Tuesday. Hype.

Do people really have that much of a problem with deleting stuff once in a while?
Newegg eBay store has it for sale, I bought it Sat the 29th and received it Tuesday Nov 1st.

They removed the USB controller in the 1200 model, and SSDs saw no speed increase.

At almost all times I have Destiny + one or two other games (often smaller digital games). This is why a 500GB SSD will be more than enough for me! Looking forward to the performance comparisons.Do people really have that much of a problem with deleting stuff once in a while?

Yeah, it's a pain in the butt. If I can spend ~$100 and not have to worry about running out of room for twice as long, to me that's worth it. If that's not worth it to you that's fine, too.Do people really have that much of a problem with deleting stuff once in a while?

Uh oh.
Where's the confirmation for that?
I don't have a link on hand, but teardowns and threads on here confirmed the USB controller was removed in the 1200 model and that tests with SSDs provided no speed increase over older PS4 models.
NextWarehouse in the US has the 2TB Firecuda instock for $130 shipped. Not sure how reliable they are though:

We don't know. I'd suggest waiting for the DF comparison which I assume we'll have pretty soon after launch.Would this drastically increase the load times in Bloodborne?

I have no idea. Good news if true! Hopefully they'll have them out early next week.Embargo is up on the 7th no?
I'm hoping media will have tested this by then so we'll know before launch date.
My 2tb Firecuda just arrived, so I'm ready for transfer, just need the console.

You can just transfer from one console to the next?

Maybe don't open it yet...

Does it matter? We still know SSD performs significantly faster in PS4 over standard and hybridGoing to be real interesting to see how Pro turns out.

What we are hoping is they'll knock it up to SATA III
Lol that's worth like 4 PS4 Pros.

I know nothing about hard drive specs but would like more space and am intrigued by the possibility of faster loading times. Is this the one people are buying? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-ST2000DX002-Firecuda-Internal-2000-GB-88-9-mm/dp/B01ICLGJIK/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=19YVNT6AMJP2YFWQJR88
I'm pretty sure the USB it was going through was 3.0 so it had similar speeds to SATA2 anyway. They removed the USB controller in the 1200 model, and SSDs saw no speed increase.

No.
That is the 3,5" version of the Firecuda.
But you need the 2,5" version.
This is the version you are looking for:
