I guess the main question with the rumours is how likely might it be that Sony have acquired Konami and/or their biggest IPs and now have various studios such as Kojima Productions, Bluepoint or others now remaking them?

Not likely on acquisition part. Likely that they have a deal for Sony to be the developer for IP’s.

Is that actually him finding out about it or is just something he's used from an older show/podcast of theirs? I'm assuming that it's old?
It's always nice to get some good news in gaming, irrelevant of the platform it's for but I do tend to contain my expectations with things like this. I'm sure it isn't but if that image is from when he was told then that's a but more than a surprised look, that looks more like genuine shock rather than a surprise game announcement.

Okay so we know this wednesday they will be announcing the PS Plus lineup for April, as they usually do, so they might as well detail the changes they will be making to the service.

Tokyo is big lol. Even for bordering wards - the scale of the Kojima IG pic seems off.

I don't see Sony doing much of anything without hyping it up without some sort of build-up promotion.
Buying developers is something they can just drop because its business to business, and not like a product being offered to the public. Got to be honest if there's anything about Spartacus, I'd suspect it'll be handled like PS5 launch was; initially just announcing a name, with maybe some basic explanation of how this is replacing/augmenting PS+/Now in the future.
I would be extremely surprised by a showcase out of the blue, I doubt it'd be effective to promote what is supposedly a big deal.

Not saying Tokyo isn't big, but look at the map. They are literally across the street from each other. It appears the buildings sit on the border of the two wards, one on Minato's side and the other on Shinagawa's side.

Overall ... not expecting much from these rumors. We've been through this before. I think Sony really needs some games for the holiday period this year, and it shouldn't be GoW 2.
