Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is "by far" the "biggest and longest game that MachineGames have ever done" with nearly 4 hours of cutscenes

I am very much looking forward to it. Hope it turns out good. I mean, Indiana series have been suffered some bad 2 movies, hope this would help rejuvenate the franchise a bit.

Funny that I found out I actually have 1 more year of Game Pass left (I thought it would run out 2024, but it runs out in Nov 2025! lol) - so I've been checking out some PC Game Pass games lately - mostly FPS type games with WASD movement to get myself ready for this game.
(I have 4080 Super + 7800x3d, so I think it will run quite a bit better than XSX... and I found higher fps/smaller screen gives me less of motion sickness than my 65" TV)

The trouble for me is that I still suck at WASD control - so if this game has a lot of platforming... I'm doomed. Then again, one of the reason I generally avoided FPS games on consoles is because I suck at aiming with right stick. What to do, what to do.. :(

4 hours of cutscenes? Kojima is like

4 hours? Damn. I love point and click adventures and movie games like The Quarry or Until Dawn. But i hate excessive cutscenes in action adventures. At least it's Indiana Jones + Nazis and not spider sissy + bossgirl or Dad of War + annyoing kid or she hulk + golf club.

Please be lmore ike the first 20 minutes of Dial of Destiny and not the rest of the movie, I'll buy it when it release on PS5, or I might actually purchase gamepass PC for 1 month.

Did you know - Temple of Doom is the great prequel ever made?

Temple of Doom is dogshit mate.

Personally, I like the game from everything I'm seeing, graphics are good, the OST is spot-on and the gameplay seems in line for this kind of game (ie, puzzles, minor platforming, stealth, action bits).

I get that people don't like the FP view but, c'mon lads, we already had 3 tomb raiders and 5 Uncharteds in TPV, don't mind this one being in FP and I'M NOT a FP guy...

Out of all of Xbox's games/exclusives, this looks to be one of the better/interesting ones for sure.

If it lands on a 7-8/10 score average and it's longer than 10-12 hours I'll be buying it for sure when it comes to the PS next year.

This game have come a long way since the weirdly unappealing first trailer.
Love it Indy deserves something good after all the post trilogy crap.

4 hours of cutscenes paired with the gameplay footage is not selling it to me personally. If it gets some solid impressions here around release then I might pick it up on a deep sale next year.

They are using "4 hours of cutscenes" as if that's a good marketing point that'd appeal to gamers, especially MachineGames' fans. lol

Devs are so out of touch these days.
It’s more than in Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy combined. By an hour or so.

‘We love movies now?’

That being said the game is still on my list on PC, the genre is not exactly crowded these days.

That's not a brag as far as I'm concerned......they have form here though,Wolfenstein The New Colossus had more effort put into the cut scenes than the game itself.

The more i see this game, the more i'm treating it like an interactive movie.

Have been craving an Indy 4 for so long now and this game might hit that spot.

why so cagey then? Either it is going to disappoint or its going to be an unexpected Masterpiece.

What exactly are they ‘cagey’ about?

Yes, gamers just hate it that this new game is their biggest and longest game ever 🙄

Death Stranding had 7 hours of cutscenes and people loved it. Who’s complaining about 4?

I replayed Emperor's Tomb recently. Will replay Fate of Atlantis instead of this.

Four hours of being reminded of Troy Baker...

I don't know why they're boasting about 4 hours of cutscenes. It's one reason I avoid games - hours and hours of cutscenes (i.e., mediocre movies) wedged into what is supposed to be an interactive experience.

However, 4 hours isn't that bad. I get more annoyed with the 8 hour types.
