Real question...DEI has what to do with games? The person still needs to be qualified so...is this whistleblowing for non-white man? Which I guess you answered by saying "white men problem" which ensues white men are in control. In other words, it's 2025 are we really this pressed over anything other than a person being bad? Gay, straight, man, or woman? There's no way y'all feel this attacked and oppressed. Lmfao. Because...huh?
Japanese developers don't give a shit about DEI. Panty vending machines lined with every color of the rainbow, public intoxication, nuru massages, hentai, tentacles, and hostess bars are just some of the many things Japan openly supports.
Men like to see cute women and in Japan there is no urgent agenda yet to pretend it’s not like this.
I am getting tired of people saying there is something wrong with that, because it’s just human nature.
For some reason I also don’t see really a push in the music industry to include more not so pretty women. A vast majority of women in the music industry look good and the few ones that don’t need to have exceptional voices. It’s been like this and is continue to be like this.
Even if they start to make character less sexy or appealing, that will not change what kind of women we are attracted to.
And hey it’s not only men, no one can’t say good looking men are more successfull in the entertainment industry.
Of the games I rolled credits on last year, Alone in the Dark and Outlaws were the only Western ones, so probably yes.
Outlaws put me off Western games for a while too - spending all their time making sure ugly boss woman rule the day and npcs talk about their same sex relationships constantly, rather than making a good Star Wars game.
The one who need stop nonsense is You dude.
one company 200 M in 10 years vs whole nation as japan in 10 years is possibly almost the same. even can be surpassed.
You clearly funny this time...
I know but popular IPs last hundreds of years. DC Comics and Marvel are over 80 years old and the gaming industry has barely even scratched the service with these IP's potential. A game doesn't need to be a "big new IP" to be reinventive or innovative. And yes while people do get bored new people are born every day.
