List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

Hmm I may not be as sensitive to shadows and lighting because I just can’t tell a big difference in these shots
When playing in person it's easier to see but just look at the ceiling and the walls next to the window. There's much better bounce lighting and global illumination in Quality mode. Not to mention higher resolution.

Is AW2 anywhere near Silent Hill 2 quality?
I think the image looks more stable on AW2. I think overall it's the better looking game of the two though it's close. What let's silent hill down for me is the first part running around the town with all the water on the floor. The reflections have too much break up and shimmer

Well I think I saved the best for last. I've just purchased Spiderman 2 which was the remaining Pro Enhanced game I was interested in.

After playing about 12 Pro Enhanced games since launch, there is no doubt that Spiderman 2 is the best looking/performing PS5 Pro game I've had the pleasure of experiencing. The IQ, RT, model quality, sound quality and HDR presentation is absolutely unlike anything else available right now. Insomniac are wizards I don't know how they have pulled this off.

I'm playing on Fidelity Pro with all RT effects on with VRR + unlocked framerate which feels smooth enough to be 60fps.

If you haven't picked this game up yet and you have a good quality 120hz VRR capable TV, this is the show piece title you are looking for, trust me.

All the first and second party game of Sony performed pretty well in Ps5 pro.

Man, Uncharted 4 is amazing on the pro, I should have tried it sooner. Basically no patch needed, the native 4k mode is now mostly at around 60fps wtih VRR and there's even LFC so the couple of very demanding set-pieces should still be quite smooth. Then the 1440 mode now runs between 100-120fps in most areas. The only caveat is you need a VRR screen, but I'd hope most pro owners have one are at least are looking into getting it.

I was just playing it today for the first time on the Pro and I didn't realise before playing (or I forgot) that it had a frame rate cap that you can toggle on and off. It's great that now we can play in the fidelity mode with an uncapped frame rate. I haven't tried the 1440p mode. Might try it in a short while.

Agreed, just be forewarned, the game is incredibly and literally woke and gay.

Anyone knows if It Takes 2 has an unlocked frame rate and resolution on PS4? I have it there and was wondering how much having it on run on the PS5 Pro would benefit. Or is it stuck at 1080-1440p/30fps?

It’s just to play with the lady, so it’s not like it’s a deal breaker, but it’d be nice if it was enhanced.

I believe it's something like 1080p with a target of 60 which the PS4 could not always reach, so it should be locked even on a base PS5. I do recall the game having a free upgrade though, have you given it a try? Should be a dynamic 4k60 on the PS5 and I haven't tried it on the pro, but I would image it'd run at native 4k most of the time.

I didn’t, but I see in my PS App library that it’s both for PS4 and PS5, so that’s awesome.

Surprised nobody mentioned this here, but apparently Helldivers 2 does now have some enhancements on PS5 PRO:

Apparently, there is a weird trick/hack to seeing the enhanced resolution:

The pro upgrades in performance mode become active only after you go into quality mode and than go back into performance mode, the picture is way more stable and clear in performance mode after this switch but you have to do this every time you start the game!

I've tried it myself and performance mode does look sharper on the PRO now. Again, no PSSR and no quality mode settings enabled in performance as of yet. This is likely not a full official patch but rather seems like some WIP updates that may or may not have intentionally been made public. But it's a start and better than the base PS5 code for sure. Still looking forward to a more official and polished patch to add these enhancements and fix the Dolby Atmos bug. Hopefully soon.

It’s been a bit quiet lately regarding Pro enhanced games, but then I suppose it’s been a bit quiet for new games in general.

I guess Kingdom Come deliverance 2 is the next big one? It sounds like a solid Pro update, so I’m looking forward to it. It’s a shame the original game didn’t get an upgrade even for base PS5.

In some ways we are only just starting to see Pro enhanced games. Ones which can include enhancements as part of their normal optimisation path. Might be another six months before we see games that are fully built with Pro in mind.

it's 1440p with a dynamic resolution (how low the dynamic res can go is not mentioned, wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to 1080p), upsampled to 4k... it's not native 4k. this is mentioned in the video description of the very video he linked btw...

LVTiGXK.jpeg

also notice that the base consoles run locked 1440p upsampled to 4k in quality mode.

so he purposefully left out the information that both versions upsample to 4k, and left out the info that the Pro is upsampled in the first place.

Doesn't negate the fact that PS5 Pro is running @ better than Quality modes @ 60 fps instead of 30 fps.

it's dynamic 1440p, quality mode on base PS5 locked 1440p, who is to say how low that dynaic res drops? so not the same. and I'm pretty sure there is no settings difference outside of resolution in both modes on base PS5 or PS5 Pro

We don't know, is there a cap above 1440p? Dynamic 1440p can mean anything.

I mean:

it looks clearly lower res than quality mode

and for targeting only 1440p at 1080p native, the perfomance modes also don't look that far off, although distant detail gets mangled a but due to FSR and the 1080p internal res:

I dunno, I can't tell a difference between quality or performance based on the screenshots, but again, it's a blurry youtube video. So not sure how indicative that is.

it's 4k, but yes, youtube isn't the best source. however, going by this video the Pro version looks barely better than base console perfomance mode. in fact it seems to me that foliage close to the camera looks slightly worse even. grass blades look blurrier on Pro than perfomance mode. this probably comes down to the difference in image treatment between FSR and PSSR.
far distant foliage looks better on pro because it doesn't swallow detail as much in those areas.

a more detailed look in fast motion shots would be interesting, as that's where the pro should have the clear advantage, but not due to resolution, simply because FSR is trash.

Yep I can confirm performance mode looks far sharper

This is what I’ve been saying. The pro version looks too soft given it’s using PSSR.

Definitely way way better. Far far less jagged than before. Hopefully they keep adding features like pssr. But even without, this is much needed improvement just by using the extra gpu grunt. Happy with the improvements. This was the last big game I was hoping to be added back with something more. Funny this kind of flew under the radar for a whole week as it’s probably one of the most asked about games on the thread.

Maybe it’s because of the way it has to be implemented. By switching back and forth each time you start the game. I wonder if they are working on more as this seems like a quick fix situation or an early drop.
