List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
I mean:

it looks clearly lower res than quality mode

and for targeting only 1440p at 1080p native, the perfomance modes also don't look that far off, although distant detail gets mangled a but due to FSR and the 1080p internal res:

yea but its an improvement on other areas.
Its not a 100% improvement, i believe it use some setting from base ps5 performance and some settings from quality, mix it together with PSSR and you get the PRO performance mode.

Overall its a great improvement imo. its basically 60fps++ with "0.80" quality mode. Looks good and runs great, cant wait

Man, the fuck is Bloober team doing with SH2Re, it's been almost 2 months now with no patch...

THIS is why I objected when I heard that they were tasked with the remake, they're just THAT technically incompetent, I knew shit like this would happen, fuckin hell, not only is the Pro version not better but it's actually worse than the base PS5 version.

Friggin' incompetent hacks, always were, always will be

Dee batch is an idiot, but what he's saying matches what the devs themselves announced for console modes:

Publisher also gave access to Analista de Bits, this seems to be the source of Dee's clip:

Pro is not running "quality mode" in 60fps compared to 1440p quality mode on PS5. Pro is running it's own mode in 4k upscaled using PSSR. Quality mode on PS5 also upscales to 4k and not 1440p. That info is on chart you posted and tweet is full of bullshit.

Game upscales from "dynamic 1440p" on Pro and in like for like scenes normal PS5 performs the best:

Awful quiet on the ps5 pro front... It really seems like no one is looking to update their kinda crappy support thus far. Silent Hill 2 etc. Really thought after the holidays there would be some patches coming.
Me too. The support for the Pro fucking sucks. Aw2 never got fully fixed. Star Wars Outlaws is nowhere close to taking advantage of the Pro and still has ugly reflections. Silent Hill 2 is the biggest disappointment with lazy Bloober devs only reverting Performance mode back to original upscaling and just forgetting about Fidelity mode. Black Ops 6 had its noise issues improved but not fully fixed.

No Cyberpunk, Control, Plague Tale Requiem, Elden Ring, or FF16 patches. Sony not updating Returnal, Astrobot, Hellducers 2, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone or Gow 2018 (both of which have superior PC versions that's why I list them even tho they have ps4 skus), Uncharted 4 only benefits if you have VRR.

Even patches like Space Marine 2 that people seem happy with still firmly fall into the same old "choose Quality with great visuals or choose Performance with OK visuals", since Quality mode has high res textures and Performance doesn't.

AC Shadows keeps getting delayed so there's still no "killer app" that really shows off what the Pro can do. No guarantees it'll even be great on Pro anyway if the RT/noise issues of PSSR aren't resolved. Sony instilling zero confidence by not showing off Death Stranding 2 or Ghost of Yotei on the Pro.

I've never been more let down by a company than Sony when it comes to the Pro. $300 extra dollars and 4 years and this is the best we can get? Most patches boil down to just adding PSSR without many (or any) graphics improvements on top of that. No new major patches have been announced for any of the big games that people had hoped would get announced post launch ...and with the next generation of RDNA4 and FSR4 around the corner, plus the RTX 5000 series the Pro is going to look like a bad joke soon if Sony doesn't turn this ship around- which isn't going to happen.

It's beyond disrespectful to sell us this console and not even support half your own library of ps5 exclusives. Cerny, you done fucked up.

2 cardinal sins being made in this thread regarding the whole KC Pro Update:

  1. Drawing conclusions and interpreting details based on still screenshots and internet videos is a no no. We've already seen this time and time again that the PRO looks much better in person and in motion. Wait for the game to release and folks to get it in their homes. You'll start hearing many people saying how good the PRO version looks and runs and how much better it is than the base console
  2. Getting caught up on actual internal resolutions is a fruitless thing to do with reconstruction techniques in use. If the reconstruction algorithm does it's job correctly, it will take whatever input resolution it's given and generate a true 4K image. The better the technique the more accurate that reconstruction will be and the less input it will need to do it. Needless to say, PSSR has already proven superior to FSR in all but a few cases and from seeing it action in over 30 titles with my eyes, the resulting image is the most "4K-like" of all the upscaling solutions I've seen on console to date. So whether KC is using dynamic 1440p or locked 1440p is a moot point. The point is what the output image looks like and I'd be willing to bet that the PSSR solution will be preferable and more convincingly 4K than the base solution (again once compared in motion and in person).
Bottom line is that the PRO version looks better than the base Performance mode and runs better than the base Quality mode. Any difference in settings vs the base Quality mode is minute and hardly noticeable when playing but it clearly is closer to the base Quality mode than the Performance mode. You do in fact get a 4K/60+ experience on the PRO (albeit with reduced settings) which requires a pretty beefy PC to replicate.

* Even a 4070TI Super w/DLSS Perf mode (1080p internal) is nowhere near 60fps. Native 4K is often below 30fps.

So PS5 performance mode, running at 1440p upscaled from 1080p, runs better than PS5 Pro, running 2160p upscaled from 1440p. Both are over 60fps. Whereas PS5 quality mode, also running at upscaled 2160p, runs at 30fps.

Good results for PS5 Pro.

As long as he is doing it respectfully and not being awful to fellow gamers (or harassing devs), I'm not seeing the issue. May be complaining 24/7 on an internet forum is how he can get the negativity out of his system and cure cancer in real life? A lot of devs are rushing to fix their botched implementations, thanks to some gamers who constantly make a noise about it. So I'd say we should just let them play their part, while the rest of us reap the benefits of their whining and tears.

Those posts are just a broken record at this point. Saying the same stuff over and over again. I could take those posts seriously if they talked about the good as much as the bad. But if it is all negative, all the time then not worthy of much attention, imo. I just see his name in the thread, leave a laughing emoji, and move to the next post.

Did any of you check out Hogwart's? And if so, how is it?

I have it installed, but havent checked it out yet. 30 fps right? :messenger_dizzy:
I haven't checked the 30fps RT mode, but the 60fps one looks so much better/cleaner than it used to. I have no idea what the actual internal res is or whether it has PSSR, but it looks pristine and performance is more stable than the base machine. I was very happy with the results.

I did.
Balanced mode is still the best at 40fps but it has to be locked like on base ps5.
Quality and RT modes are ok too but 30fps.
The performance mode is solid but reduces grass lod etc a bit.
All look very clean

If you convert 4K YouTube screenshots to JPEGs scaled down to 2560x1600 pixels, We can't make an accurate comparison.
We shouldn't judge image quality by looking at these images that have been compressed multiple times.
Only some of the differences in graphics settings are visible in the lower resolution screenshots.

Yup definitely super nice on performance. Sharp. Clean.

I really need to finish this! I’m right at the end with just the buddy sidequests.
