I would be shocked if any of the origins 5 appeared outside of their respective colors. (Flavor text nonwithstanding)
At this point I feel pretty confident Ajani's next card will actually be full on Naya. I'd be interested to see how a three color, 3 CMC Planeswalker would look.
Tamiyo seems underpowered for a 3 color card? I expect a bigger, more obvious splash for a 3 color card. She might, contextually, have more success than the latest version of Sarkhan though.
I still think she'd be a great Madness enabler.
this is true for just about any tutor. getting elvish piper or ysan out early in my anafenza deck basically wins the game if you can't deal with them. playing meekstone at the start of the game with my augy deck will shutdown entire decksAlso chrod of calling is such a dumb card in edh, friend of mine has a relatively low power edh deck but the deck basically only does the same thing whenever he gets it.
Cord for EWitness, Cord for the flicker soulbound guy, Cord for Mystic snake, lock the game out. Being Boros I need more interaction than he has mana and or counters. Barely managed to squeeze out a win yesterday by flashing in avacyn and equipping her up for lethal commander damage.
This is why Green/Blue EDH is a plague on the format. Also chrod of calling is such a dumb card in edh, friend of mine has a relatively low power edh deck but the deck basically only does the same thing whenever he gets it.

Sigarda and her horde of humans try to stop Brisela and her horde of eldrazi angels. Sigarda wins when Brisela tries to meld with her and she strikes from
So Sorin islocked in some rock? Like, what does this even mean lol
It means they were too big of wusses to kill a character with multiple cards because all of them have thick shiny plot armor. Venser will pop back up any day now at this rate.

it stand to argue whether derevi or animar is worse.
On a side note, I'm still not convinced that Urza needed to destroy Serra's Realm, but Urza does a lot of unnecessary things.

To provide commentary on how the Nahiri thing turns out:
It seems Nahiri's intention was to force Sorin to imprison Emrakul himself so that he'd have to constantly watch over its prison like Nahiri did. I'm guessing she knew the moon could be used to imprison it. However, Sorin decided he didn't want to do that, which surprised Nahiri. She didn't expect that a random group of planeswalkers would come along and seal Emrakul themselves.

I already wanna know what sort of bullshit they're going to use when they decide Emrakul needs to bust out and be a threat again.
I literally said this to my wife last night (the description you wrote) + "I bet she's got an ulterior motive". Glad to be right.

u can quote me
Angry Grimace said:It's probably Emrakul, but I wouldn't be surprised if Emrakul isn't really "there" and more like just kind of passing by and influencing shit as opposed to "going to be a creature in Eldritch Moon."
kirblar said:It's because Emrakul is on the moon.
Do we know what happens to Brisela? (seems silly to do the Ulamog overtones if she's getting killed off)

Much like Emrakul getting locked in the moon, this is actually good storytelling because it's a mirror of previous events -- Sorin locked Nahiri in his Helvault, so she locks him in her cocoon of stone.
How Nahiri deals with Sorin is PERFECTLY in her colors. Love it.
Also, going back:
Indeed I shall. We got WAY more Eldrazi than zero or one (charlequin's quote). Much to Angry Grimace's dismay.
tee hee
The earliest I can find is our very own kirblar being prophetic back in JANUARY:
To be honest though, I was right there at the same time in his thinking once we started discussing it.
Shedies to Sigarda ripping her in half while Brisela tries to merge with her. Like a baws
UrzaI can't believe we're spoiler tagging the Magic storyline.
GW humans and GB delirium
Let's please not talk about that trainwreck.Didn't Urza concede against the Phyrexians once he saw phyrexia? and then Gerrard cut his head off to use his eyes on the legacy weapon.
I'm so glad they laid off that shitAlso I just wanna bring up that I said in the SOI spoiler thread "maybe they don't want mono red to be good" and then a bunch of you laughed at me and told me that would never happen. The term "death of Magic" was used.

If you actually land Brisela you're almost assuredly going to win, but the problem is that you have to be alive to cast Bruna with Gisela in the graveyard or on the battlefield, and Gisela dies to every commonly played piece of removal in Standard. The more i think about it Brisela might be a thing in standard, maybe some type of g/w tool box cards with eldrich evolution, Deathmist/New Thalia turns into Avacyn/Thalias Lancers or Gisela (whichever you need) and then the second Evolution goes and finds your 1 of Bruna/Worldbreaker.
Lots of Synergies among the cards there, might be a little fragile but tutoring for any creature is incredibly powerful. If you can land Brisela together id imagine there is not much that can kill them in the set other than a wrath.
Does traverse the ulvenwald suddenly become reliable enough to see play now that Emerge is a thing ?
New Tamiyo is a card i want to love , but seems to missing that "it" factor. Will take testing to see how I feel, seems better than Kiora but weaker than Nahiri if i had to place her somewhere. Its not a slam dunk instant powerhouse like Ugin, Elspeth, or even Gideon.

Blue-Black Madness is also very strong as is Green-Blue investigate.Yeah. I'm not surprised.
Hopefully I open a few bombs in other colors so I don't have to fight over g w b
Guess that leaves red blue which I do like.
Time will tell. I believe there might be a few brand new players which I'm totally cool with. Just saying it could really mess the signals and power level of the decks up.
Yeah, as soon as he got to Phyrexia, he started saying, "It's a real shame we have to destroy this place, it's pretty neat." Then Urza let a Planeswalker he knew was evil but brought along anyway kill another Planeswalker so he would be morally justified in blowing up his spark with a device he already had installed on a giant robot he was piloting, and used it to blow up a big part of Phyrexia.
URZA WAS RIGHT
Phyrexians. Not even once.
