although the laptop is nice but i'm more interested in R4900HS, i believe nextgen consoles will be using custom zen 2 mobile

DF stated they were 99% sure Gonzalo/Oberon is the PS5 SoC. It will be interesting to see a retrospective on the development process of the hardware.

This is a good point and I think people forget it or aren't accounting for it. None of the 'insiders' as far as I know anyway, are actually those who have direct access to hardware, etc. (perhaps the exception here is BGs?). So they are reporting what they hear from people who DO have this access. People who have jobs to protect and who don't necessarily know EVERY detail themselves. Also, plans and products DO change and evolve while moving to a release version. My point is, slamming Osiris Black or someone else because something they said in the past changed, by their own admission, is pointless. Sure, if you'd prefer, just shut down the forum so that people CAN'T post what they've heard or been told by people they trust. That way you don't have to worry about every little detail being 100% correct and set in stone? Me, I'd rather hear the scuttlebutt and rumors that these folk are willing to share. And I'm NOT going to hold them all 100% accountable for something they've shared.

Bottom line, if their sources are not reliable, then what they post won't be close. Enough of that and sure maybe we don't pay as much attention in the future. But till then.... Just enjoy this speculation phase and don't take it all so FUCKING PERSONAL? How about we try that? :)

Well that means theres gonna be a fairly sophisticated voice recognition system built into the system at an OS level. Sure, it will be used for eg asking the system to search YouTube for help with your game. But also no reason developers wont be able to leverage the same tech for use in their actual games, without having to create complex software themselves to pull off speech recognition, can effortlessly integrate voice input.

We've never had anything like this in a console before. Should allow for an unprecedented level of verbal interaction in games. Imagine that bit in the film 'Her' where the solution to the puzzle in the game was telling the character to go f**k himself, ha, I'm sold.

Anyway its not gonna be for everyone but scope for some fresh stuff here. Maybe this is one of those 'differentiating factors' Ryan was talking about, might also lead to whole new genres like ea spoke of.

This is why i love consoles.

Don't get me wrong i love PC too but these little features on console are just amazing. Im expecting Xbox and Playstation to floor us with these new machines.

I am not familiar with the entire circumstances, but does this mean that the same guy tested both MS and Sony chips? or two different people made the same posting mistake?
This is what I have always found to be highly unlikely about the posts.

From the patent filing it actually doesn't seem that big a deal (calling it an AI is marketing)...have the PS5 'know' 50 or more set phrases or words out of the box and developers submit/train any targets for those trained phrases. I think it could dove tail nicely with VR2. This is pretty trivial stuff for the developer to hook into with their games if wanted I'd think. What about it seems difficult for a large CE company to manage?

Where is hiper, super RT technology for PS5, much better and faster than XSX?. Nowhere. Both have this same technology from AMD. Another fake from "Insiders".

If Sony doesn’t reveal the specs by March 5, how are they going to prevent AMD from revealing it? You’d think Sony would want to control the narrative of their own system? I was on team PS5, but This makes no sense unless they have the inferior console. Also, didn’t one of these leakers say Sony bought Remedy and such? Remedy is a publicly traded company.

GitHub is at least a solid lead. Outdated? Maybe. Who knows?
