PS3 was also late, Sony nearly lost 80 Million customers and Microsoft profited a lot.

I think we should get over this since it was already established here and on other forms that a 40 CU 2GHz GPU (Navi-RDNA1) doesn't make any sense.
I mean looking back at how the PS4 devkit developed, we can clearly see how the CPU for instance changed drastically, and memory configuration too. Also the leak from github was for testing purposes and this was clear, testing for what? We dont know.
At any rate we should not get ourselves too much into this thin thread of a leak given that consoles are planned ahead of time and by this point the specs are locked.
If we go by the number of leakers/insiders though, most of them have already denied the github leak being as accurate as we thought for the PS5

The thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was digital foundry saying the github leak INTERPRETATION was backed up by your own sources. Richard said that.
There was no possibility in the DF video that if 9.2 TF was just a BC mode and likely more CU in final retail silicon or indeed the github tests.
And according to most leaks on here and dev comments on era 9.2 TF was not in right ballpark, but your source went against all of this. Was your source Colbert or Timdog ? /s

You can be sure some Sony fans are continuing 9.2tf talk when they actually think it will be more powerful than XSX, so when the ps5 announcement happens and cerny announces "13.2tflops" they can all act like it's a "8gb gddr5" moment.

I'm play on both PS4 and x1, but I'm not going to lie I hope XsX is more powerful, just to see the tears from the crazy Sony fanboys at the other place, sure theres some crazy Xbox fanboys too, but at the other place the Sony fandom is deranged. I always hope XsX is more powerful because gamepass is a must for me, I guess if PS5 is more powerful it won't make to much difference in 3rd party games but my inner nerd has like an OCD about playing multiplats on the most powerful console.
I'm also kinda hoping PS5 is $399 so I can get an XSX at launch as my main console and get a PS5 when it's first naughty dog game comes out.

Hell, no. I'm not wishing one console is grossly inferior from the other just for the salt. I place my entertainment above pettiness, and I want both consoles to be amazingly powerful, and 99% equal in horsepower.
From I *am* hoping however, is that Lockheart will go fuck itself into a corner and never be made a reality.

This cannot be true. The two controllers are with me right now and my DS4 really is silent. In fact the dpad, triggers and bumpers are almost silent. The DS4 is mushier than my Xbones. I like the idea of the Lockhartconcept and I think it will help Xbox be more successful which = more and better games. So I'm all for it.

*If* the PS5 does suffer a delay, I don't believe for a second it was because it was 9.2TF.
The virus is a big concern right now worldwide, with the potential to continue to disrupt public events and slow manufacturing for a good while. I worry immensely about what it could cause, as it has slowed down my current job pretty significantly.
I took this new job as a favor to a friend, who is heir to the company itself. I worry the economic impact may cause some layoffs, which puts me squarely in LIFO territory(last in, first out) and I doubt even he could save me from that.
I've started to look elsewhere because I can't have my family be at risk if things go south.
I firmly believe shortages are coming for both consoles, unless manufacturing is/was diverted to elsewhere and even then could still be a problem.

I don't like the click of Xbox controller buttons, either. It feels like you have less control over presses. Reminds me of cheap keyboards versus Logitech stuff. I recently beat Ori and the Blind Forest (great game, by the way) and after certain demanding boss sections my fingertips got numb. I've never had this problem with DS. Who thought that convex buttons would be a good idea?

DS doesn't work well with some games on PC, especially if you want wireless.
It's a bit strange that standard Xbox controllers aren't good quality. Microsoft mice and keyboards are very good (of course nothing Logitech level).

^ I'm just the opposite, I love the feel of the X1 controller and can't stand the layout and flimsy feel of the DS4. All personal preference, they both get the job done.
I hope Sony always has competitors to keep them on their toes. I don't think a market exists in which a complete lack of competition does not result in price gouging or stagnation.
