To be honest, as a cheap gamepass console this makes a lot of sense and if it lands at $299 it will be very tempting to get one. And this coming from a Playstation fan.
There are some games on Xbox i want to play like Forza, that 'honey i shrunk the kids' game and others. Fuck Halo though.

I suspect Microsoft might have had plans to release the teaser video if Sony was to announce pricing and that on the 9th hoping Sony would say a $499-599 price for the 2 models and MS were wanting to sweep in with the $299 Series S

I think they always planned for that price with the XSS. While with the XSX it's pricing is probably depends on the competitions.

PS5 has to be 400 for DE and 500 for Disc IF the 300 for XSS is real.

I liked the literal box design of the XSX, it's simple but it looks elegant. I liked the futuristic looking design of the PS5, I would like it in black but it's not a big deal, but I just don't like this one:/
Can't afford 499.99 or second console. Hell if I had 2 kids buying 2 of these would be with in a 100 of a series x. I am getting a series x but not everyone wants top of the line like phones.

Yeah it is strange that the news is coming from 3rd parties and not Microsoft themselves, this would defiantly not have been the case with Sony. It's interesting that there was no design leak for the PS5, no one had a clue but i digress.
Tbh next-gen should have kicked off a while back now. This is so dam late. But hopefully we'll have the consoles in our hands within the next 60-90 days!

I don't know if the Xbox Series S Price will help us determine the XSX price. I don't think the XSX will be 100$ more expensive so a 399$ price point is probably off the table. Now that leaves either 599$ or 499$.

this will sell when there are no ps5s on the shelves and trust me sony can ship all the consoles they want, they will be sold out. this will sell to soccer moms and grandparents. this will definitely sell in the u.s where kids like xbox way more than the switch.
the real questino is what happens after christmas. i dont think this sells after the holidays.

Hopefully this is a controlled leak because Sony is about to drop something really soon. Plus they needed to get people to talk about Xbox again after all the teasing that Sony has been doing.

you are underestimating children. when I was a kid I told my parents what I want. And it definitely wasn't some Sega Saturn, Dreamcast or whatever all the other consoles were named. It was either NINTENDO or PLAYSTATION. And if parents buy their kids expensive christmas presents they will make sure if they are buying the thing that their children want. We are not in the 90's or early 2000's
