i saw some comments people worried about 9TF + ryzen could do, i already posted this before, this is the only Real Time trailer of a next gen game i saw in the game awards, the graphics are good (for an early kit) and look at those movements, looks like every leaf has it own physics (and thats what ryzen does).

I'm worried now if we will get 9.2TF PS5. 2GHz is a lot even on PC market so I'm guessing AMD was just stress testing PS5 GPU. PS5 may end up slower than 9.2TF.

meh it's ~20% diff, maybe +30% tops if Scarlett is 12+TF (more like 11) .. most console stuff is all sub-native upscaled checkerboard anway .. PS5 titles will only be inferior on close inspection

In 6 months to a year they should be able to go over to 6nm or whatever sub-node there is -- will make the high clocks a lot easier to stomach

..still might jump ship though

Another estimate puts XSeX's chip at 350mm2 (much more realistic, imo)

Another take inlinewith 400mm2 estimate:

I think the era of resolution wars hopefully may be over... there is such little visual difference between 8k and 4k on a normal 60 inch sized screen (even up close). I would rather they spend it with more visual effects... which may mean a slightly higher chance of noticing the difference between two console that are 15% apart in capability... but it will also mean more likely to see the difference bwteen the 2 xbox consoles.

I doubt the Lockhart will be released this year.. i think they will only release the Anaconda.. then next year trim the lineup and replace the xbxox one x with Lockhart.. that way they can focus on a single stronger advertising theme of being the most powerful console.

I have a question.

In the Opening of the AMD Press Conference at CES we saw multiple products/projects with AMD-Hardware.

Then came the XSeX and in between the XSeX and PS5-Placeholder i could read "the first 7nm GPU" or similar. It looked that it belonged to XSeX.

Is this the confirmation, the XSeX-SOC is 7nm and not 7nm+ or EUV?

Just trying to reassure people that are all doom and gloom over any 9tf "leak" that is still a beast of a console.
neither console can reach 11 tflops at the moment...now from what I heard Microsoft started sending units around mid July and I can confirm from one developer ps5 developing tools gives you more performance that will change once developers get to spend more time with the xbox unit

if Lockhart is a thing, which it seems more and more likely as time has gone on, releasing it after doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It seems Lockhart exists because they know Series X isn't going to be cheap and they want a cheaper model there day 1. They want to get as many people they can upcoming holiday season and sandwiching the PS5 seems like something Microsoft would try to do.

Looks like you have no legitimate counterarguments, then. If your go-to tactic is strawmanning what was actually stated in the asterisks, then that is not an argument.

Im guessing you didnt follow the whole thread which went like this...

“Xbox has 4 k games and is capable of delivering current gen games at 4k .. if a ps4 can run it at 1080p then the xbox one x can most likely run it at true 4k”
”Not it cant xbox is all false advertising”
”What are you talking about Playstation advertised 4k gaming on the pro”
”No they didnt”
”Yes they did .. here is the link”
”That dosent count because theres an asterix that says its untrue”

This whole debate was hilarious... which is why i started trolling around what the argument was that Sony was somehow more truthful in claiming 4k then qualifying it to be totally not true.. is somehow more legitimate.. than having a console that claims 4k .. and actually delivers.

That black PS5 logo on the box is way cooler looking than the current blue one.
Its unlikely, browsing shelfs with blue color is more attractive than black.

Sorry but no, that will kill sells since xsx is more expensive than ps5.

Maybe .. usually day 1 fans are the ones that will pay more.. but some people without so much spending money would prob like to jump on .. on day one to.. you might be right we will see!

The Gears 5 case?

It highlights the many technical flaws in Gears 5 that Digital Foundry strangely overlooked in their video analysis of the game.

We all know digital foundry and their love for Microsoft, it's not new.

Everybody still remembers the 360/PS3 oriented comparisons and the favoritism towards Microsoft but maybe you're too young or you haven't lived this era.

It's just that with the arrival of alternative solutions like NX Gamer, VG Tech ... they couldn't do that anymore.

I think I like the blue one more but I also think they'll need to distinguish between PS4 and PS5 games. I wonder how it would look like if it was grey or something.

blue is more versatile. black, not so much. looks good on Ghost because of white/black contrast. still, i am for blue, maybe for red.

Lets just assume this would be the case. The flagship Xbox model is priced higher which means enthusiasts get that one or peopel attached to the xbox brand. It would sell decent because its new and its "the most powerfull console". Now you have Lockhart competing with the PS5. It would only be natural if the majority of people would buy the cheaper console. Well speaking theoretically. People that dont feel attached to any brand of course would act that way. But since those potential two xbox consoles would release in the holiday season it would be different. Parents, grandparents, people on a budget or "casual gamer" would always buy the cheaper console. Always. Well theoretically.

So you were basically strawmanning arguments and when you were asked if your mental health was okay, you made a response that meant for a different person because you were too obsessed with not actually making legitimate arguments.

The number of people that are so far away from the TV that they can't read in-game text tells me this too .. if you can't read it you can't see the pixels..

Interesting. Im watching DF quite regularly since the ps3/xbox 360 gen but never noticed any "favoritism" towards a certain platform. To me all technical breakdowns seemed very objective and profesional. Regarding missing certain flaws: well you can overlook things thats only human. Everyone makes mistakes.Nevertheless thanks for the attached videos. Im gonna watch em any make a revised opinion about DF afterwards.

Day 1 yes but that holiday is going to be important too. That race to 10k is extremely important and history shows whoever hits 10k first does the best. With M$ having two consoles though and what appears to very different price points, that muddies the argument a bit I think.

You want to know why this fails? Because DF manages to keep it professional, without sounding like an angry cursing rant.

I would have given this points but it sounds so personal and vindictive.
