OK EVEN WORSE NEWS!!!

They even further reduced the enemy count on screen :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Now it's like 3 norm 4 max instead of 4 norm 6 max of Sigma 2

(and NG2 was like 8 norm 12 max)

black my ass

They should call this Sigma 2 Sigma :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Mainly interested in this as its TN's first game using UE5 and not KT's internal engine, maybe they looked at Rise Of The Ronin and realized the tech just doesn't stack up, or at the least is going to require a lot of additional investment to get on par feature-wise.

Does difficulty change anything regarding counts or just enemy rank?

Max playing on normal difficulty, and easily 5-7 enemies on screen. I'll do my own comparisons later, but I don't see any issues from what I've seen him play so far.
The real question is when anyone gets to the staircase of framerate death

In the 360 version, based on this footage anyway, the enemies seem to be waiting their turn, so does it matter? lol

What difficulty? Maybe master has more?

Straight from the boss:
Yasuda continued: "This version is crafted to satisfy both those who played the original and newcomers discovering it as a current-generation action game. We’ve meticulously incorporated some of the additions of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 while staying true to the challenge and feel of the original 360 version, including its signature gore and violence. We’ve also adjusted the weapon upgrade system to more align with the original release.”

So like I thought, based on the OG, but added some elements from Sigma. True to the challenge of the OG means it'll likely be harder than Sigma

Projectile mechanics are Sigma as are interactive elements that simply are in the final state. You can quote me on that.

If the weapon upgrade is like 2, I assume the damage will be higher in team missions

Eh... maybe someday I should track down and try NG1 Black, because NG2 never impressed me much. It's jank af and doesn't get better the farther you play.

MGR, even in its unfinished state, is a better Ninja Gaiden than NG2 could ever hope to be, and is also far from perfect...

Comparison to previous versions from the Team Ninja website

3 bosses from the Sigma versions are not present here as well as less costumes for the playable additional characters than Sigma
5 levels of difficulty

Seeing some chatter about this being just Sigma 2 with gore.

No thanks.

"Comparison between NINJA GAIDEN 2 and other entries in the series

Graphics
The game uses Unreal Engine 5 to significantly refine the graphics.

Balance Adjustment
Combat balance such as damage and enemy placements has been adjusted from previous entries in the series.
Bosses like the "Giant Buddha Statue: Hatensoku" and the "The Statue of Liberty" do not appear in this title.

Online Features
Online features such as ranking and co-op play, which were included in NINJA GAIDEN 2 and NINJA GAIDEN Σ2, are not available in this title.

The "NINJA RACE" Mode
The "NINJA RACE Mode," featured in NINJA GAIDEN Σ2 PLUS, is not included in this title.

Gore
Blood and dismemberment effects in this title are based on NINJA GAIDEN 2.
However, you can switch the settings to match the effects in NINJA GAIDEN Σ2 via the options menu."

Apparently, it's something in-between NG2 and Sigma2 ? If true, I'm wouldn't necessarily have a problem with that.

Can someone test this ? On mentor, during the 1st hallway (immediately after the intro) there's some rocket launcher enemies IIRC, are they present in this version ?

A quick comparison between Sigma 2 Remaster and Black 2 Remaster on the Series S:

Other than the graphics and some art style changes: Black 2 Remaster has lots of blood, no purple effect, the camera is a little better and on normal it seems to be easier than Sigma 2. Other than that, apparently, is the same thing.

I will probably finish it thanks to gamepass and I will buy it during a sale for less than 10 usd.
