Current Report No. 4/2025

Date of preparation:
March 13, 2025

Subject: Conclusion of a production agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC

Legal basis: Article 17 section 1 of the MAR Regulation

Report content:

The Management Board of PCF Group S.A. with its registered office in Warsaw (the "Company") hereby informs that on March 13, 2025, the Company concluded a production agreement (Prototype Development Agreement) (the "Production Agreement") with Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, with its registered office in San Mateo, California, United States of America (the "Publisher"), regarding cooperation in the production of a prototype of a new video game codenamed Project Delta (the "Product"), based on intellectual property rights belonging to Publisher.

The Production Agreement provides that work on the Product will be carried out in the so-called work-for-hire model, i.e. work performed by the Company as a developer on behalf of and for the Publisher, in return for which the Company will receive an agreed remuneration from the Publisher.

In accordance with the Production Agreement, work on the Product will be divided into stages (milestones). Detailed terms of cooperation between the parties regarding the implementation and payment for subsequent stages (milestones) have been specified in the annex to the Production Agreement (milestone schedule).

The scope and provisions of the Production Agreement do not differ substantially from the provisions of production agreements typically concluded for such projects.

The conclusion of the Production Agreement is in line with the update of the Company's Strategy and the People Can Fly capital group announced by the Company on 31 January 2023, according to which if attractive opportunities for cooperation with renowned partners in the work-for-hire model arise, the Company will take advantage of them.

I think they were trying to finally get their own IP going for once, but ran out of money. If I had to guess, Sony is buying the IP and publishing it. Probably a new IP.

Loved Bulletstorm back on the PS360. They’re great with 1st/3rd person shooters.

Didn’t realize GaaS was their “bread and butter” What GaaS titles have they developed??

They did Outriders, so probably a Shooter GAAS.
Outriders wasn't a GaaS title.

Existing Sony IP is interesting, I loved Outriders for what it was and would be up for their take on something shooty from Sony's past (Worldslayer was a steaming pile of shit monotonous cash-grab though so hopefully nothing quite so half-arsed).

It wasn't because it didn't had time to be. It failed before first update. The intention was there with the end game and the expansion.

I think this being done out of San Mateo makes it more likely to be SOCOM or Resistance than Killzone.

I think if it were Killzone, it would have been an agreement with SIE Europe and/or Guerrilla Games. Project Delta doesn't really sound like Killzone either. Guerilla does partner with a lot of other studios though.

Hey, I realized this too!
SIE America, weirdly enough, works with European studios ss well. Helldivers being a major example of that.

Publishing funnels through SIE America now, it's not really like back in the day where SCEE was really active. The only real exception is XDEV in Japan that seems to kind of do their own thing.

That being said, agreements like this seem strange. We've seen Guerrilla work with a lot of other studios though, so it's not like I'd bet my life on it.

It was obvious with the whole way the game was set up that it was designed to be an ongoing game but got pared back into just a regular/co-op experience, but it was never put out as a GasS that failed to deliver on updates that never materialised, it simply wasn't one - just a one and done. There was no bait & switch or anything.

The "expansion" was a rushed, over-hyped, dogshit cash-grab to try to get them in the red so they could actually make some money on the game thanks to the pretty poor reception and SE's scummy antics with the GP deal etc., but replacing the enjoyment and challenge of the original experience with the most mindless dreadmill of banality was about as compelling as a shit sundae (though I admit trudging through that crap very close to the cap (40 IIRC) before swearing off the game for good... I enjoyed my time with the game immensely and it was such a shame to sour things with this turd).

Anyway, back on topic, I'd be up for their take on a classic Sony shooter based on my time with that game.
