Probably a good idea to invest in some VPN companies.

There should be age verification laws for all the major pr0n sites dumbas$ kids waste too much time on their phones and pr0n makes it like 10x worse they don’t realize how much time/energy they’re wasting lot of boys falling behind for a reason pr0n and social media are king of time sinks and I need them mofos working and paying taxes

How is this a problem when there are a thousand alternatives available?

Mate. All I hear is Americans constantly screaming about how free their country is, and how important free speech is, and how bad censorship is, and loads of shit about ‘slippery slopes’ if even minor restrictions are put in place.

And yet here we are. Puritanical censorship on a mass scale.

Makes sense if you think about it.

The same country where network TV cant show a boob.

And if a live broadcast has someone slip a cus word by accident, the gov goes into hyperspasm apeshit mode fining the company.

I've actively blocked all porn on a router level on my home network. It's not good for the brain.

Get a girlfriend or wife instead.

This. In my younger days I aways used to watch porn for a decent fap.

However, I got used to watching porn so much that I couldn't wank without it. I either couldn't get it out of semi-hard and had to really struggle, or when I shot my load it would be a weak spurt rather than a volcanic eruption blasting out at Mach 10.

I agree that porn is probably bad for society. That being said I hate the fact that the states can block sites like this now. It's just another step to more authoritarianism, which lets be honest is the entire point of doing this.

While the ID law is stupid, it's actually pornhub blocking access to the states, not the other way around.

Dear user,

As you may know, your elected officials in Florida are requiring us to verify your age before allowing you access to our website. While safety and compliance are at the forefront of our mission, giving your ID card every time you want to visit an adult platform is not the most effective solution for protecting our users, and in fact, will put children and your privacy at risk.

In addition, mandating age verification without proper enforcement gives platforms the opportunity to choose whether or not to comply. As we’ve seen in other states, this just drives traffic to sites with far fewer safety measures in place. Very few sites are able to compare to the robust Trust and Safety measures we currently have in place. To protect children and user privacy, any legislation must be enforced against all platforms offering adult content.

The safety of our users is one of our biggest concerns. We believe that the best and most effective solution for protecting children and adults alike is to identify users by their device and allow access to age-restricted materials and websites based on that identification. Until a real solution is offered, we have made the difficult decision to completely disable access to our website in Florida.

Please contact your representatives before it is too late and demand device-based verification solutions that make the internet safer while also respecting your privacy.

Pornhub is initiating this blockade because they don't want to comply with age verification laws. I have no real opinion on that, I understand they don't want to do an ID registry because that is a database nightmare and a disaster waiting to happen.

I'm not saying Pornhub being blocked is a good thing, all I'm saying is it's dumb as fuck because there are countless alternatives. I'm seeing "meltdowns" on X and Reddit, makes no sense to me. (btw if you melt down because your favorite porn site is blocked then buddy, you need to get your life in order)

Adults should not see people have "sex"... /s I will never understand the American way of demonisation of sex and glorifying of violence. Is this ban mostly because pornhub does not enforce age check before viewing the site?
Yes, pornhub had the option of adding age verification to their site to avoid being banned and they declined.

For the end user, little changes aside from hopping on a VPN first or going to a site that isn't blocked because it's hosted outside the US.

America. Now the home of censorship.

So much for free speech!

Fuck the censors. Fuck them all

Oh give me a fucking break. You can't walk into an adult XXX video or "novelty" store without proving age.
Anyone under 18 is shown the door.
That same age verification is the bare minimum standard online porn sites should be held to.

That isn't "censorship", it's common fucking sense. PornHub said "nah, we're good" to age verification and decided to self-censor in those states. Says a lot more about PornHub than it does the lawmakers who want to hold them to the same standard every other adult store is held to.

Well then I'm ok with the ban. Having actual age verification should be forced everywhere.

I did walk into an Adult Video Store once and there was a cop right next to the guy looking at my ID. Same thing at a strip club. In my city, there can’t be a full nude club, so everyone goes right outside the state for it. I haven’t done that since I was 18.

I’m not surprised. The amount of porn I knew kids at school were viewing was unheard of. Idk about everywhere else, but that was what most guys did after school.

Parents aren’t all going to stand up and do something about it. Kids get cell phones and they google everything. I don’t exactly want my kids to watch the Pokémon XXX parody or that Simpsons porn that was everywhere decades ago.

Just like with the war are on drugs this just means far more illicit and quite frankly disgusting sites will flourish in popularity instead. And for those saying get a gf/wife, I as someone's whose been with mine 15+ years and strongly disagrees on these laws. This will not stop here and quite frankly I don't want to speed up the already inevitable online ID we will all be required to use to access any websites so they can tighten down on what little privacy we have left online. But hey people, you keep cheering it on and don't see the big picture that these laws are not because they care about the kids.

I travel for work and I hate when I’m in a state where I can’t pound one out before bed after a long day of work.

The other sites are just jank AF too. Going after the hub is stupidity when they need to be going after the B and lower grade sites instead.

Nanny state stupidity. It's not the government's job to parent your kids. If you're worried about your kids watching porn, then maybe put in a little effort and supervise them?
There is literally no way to do this effectively, unless you are going to be doing bedroom tosses like your kid is in prison, and even then that wouldn't work.
At the same time requiring age verification for pornhub ain't gonna do shit either.
