Holy shit at the recommended specs. I was just saying in one of the other threads that I might pick this up for PC instead; guess that won't be the case.

Whoa DX12 nice.

980ti for recommended ha well I didn't think I'd see that for a while but I'm glad I bought one.

Too bad the Windows store seems so bad. Still excited for the game and it's cool you get PC version too if you get Xbox one version.

Are you fucking kidding me? My 970 isn't enough to run this at recommended? :(

I am sure you will have a great experience with that card. There is no way a 970 won't handle this well.

Well, technically you will be.

Yeah I guess I will play the x1 version, but cool, this would be a great incentive to replay the game (if it's good) once I upgrade my PC.

What are recommended specs for though ? It's always so confusing. Is it maxed out at 1080p and 60fps ?

Most likely 1080p/60 fps and maxed settings. Could be that even the max settings is too much for a 980ti (one can only hope...).

A 970 can't max out Rise of the Tomb Raider for example. Recommended should be max settings and 1080p/60 fps at the very least.

Recommended:
6GB VRAM
980Ti & Radeon Fury X

But, the Radeon Fury X only has 4GB....

Could it have something to do with DX12 being able to get more performance out of AMD's GPUs than Nvidia's? (Sorry if that's total bullshit, I know next to nothing about this sort of stuff :p.)

Dude! The Portal 2 cross-buy dream is alive! Awesome news.

I'm not against a Windows Store version. I care about Xbox achievements more than I do Stean achievements (and care about neither too much lately) and the biggest plus I got from Steam was the screenshot button, which is easier to do outside of Steam nowadays.

...still a little frustrating that as part of the relatively small percent of people with both a console and a pretty alright PC I have less and less reasons to actually play stuff on said console, but it's still 100% the right move.

Posting from the other thread.

I think this gives us a hint at what the next xbox will be like.

One MS ecosystem.
Buy once.
Play anywhere.

Great news.

Pretty much confirmed that the next consoles wont be the traditional one.

So, this is DX12 and requires 980Ti at the same time? This makes no sense, DX12 is supposed to have great optimization.

So..... they did no optimization at all for the PC-Port? Smells fishy or Specs are wrong

Joke specs.

It's an XB1 game.

There might be very good reasons for that, they're just numbers and models right now, we can't really know if it's justified. It could have some sttings that even on lowest would be superior to the console version, it's not that uncommon. Already happened with Dying Light's Level of Detail setting, where lowest was still higher than PS4.

Until we know for sure what Minimum and Recommended means, there's nothing we can say about the specs other than "it's a very demanding game".

It requires a 760.

Also, max settings in one game != max settings in another.

DX12 helps the CPU bound games mostly

Possibly from what they tested, too. It's not at all uncommon to find out that cards weaker than minimum specs can still run games decently, they just didn't list because they didn't want to take a chance with cards they didn't actually test.

I have exactly the recommended specs. 980 Ti, 4790k, 16GB RAM. God damn. So much for future-proofing. I figured my rig would far exceed recommended specs for at least another year.

These specs seem odd. If it can run on the Xbox what the hell does it need so much raw power for on PC? Poorly optimized?

Because on the Xbox it probably runs somewhere around the min spec. Recommended is to actually make it look like a proper PC game should.

I'm really glad we're getting into the time of 980Ti's as the recommended spec. One day, it will be the min spec and what a glorious day that will be.

I am pleased it's getting ported along with other stuff, I better be a good port otherwise, there will loads of unhappy bunnies.

I will wait till later this year when I get my new rig before attempting to play this. It be a pretty game with lackluster game play, and people are spending 000's to play console ports. My i72600K, 770 GTX, 16GB but stilling running win 7 due to problems with win10. Now this isn't a bad rig, and runs everything fine.

I can afford to buy a good rig, but I think it going to end up like Game for Windows, and older Microsoft ports.
